Snowflakes!

I meant to post this mani yesterday, but in the craziness of making 30 cupcakes for a baby shower the post didn't get written! The baby shower was winter wonderland themed, so I made chocolate cupcakes with blue vanilla buttercream frosting (she's having a boy) and topped them off with white chocolate snowflakes that I drew on some wax paper. I love baking so it was a great excuse to have some fun. I only got a crappy picture of them with my phone, but I thought I'd share it anyway since they matched today's snowflake mani so well.

Now on to today's snowflake manicure! I started with two coats of Deborah Lippmann Let's Hear It For The Boy, then free-handed half snowflakes on the tips! I think snowflakes are really fun to draw so I enjoyed this challenge. Snowflakes drawn in two different mediums today, I have to say I enjoyed the nail polish more than the white chocolate (although eating my mistakes was okay).

Here's what's in store for the rest of the challenge! Make sure you check out the awesome snowflakes from the other girls in the challenge!

  7. Thanks Caitlin! At first I was upset that I couldn't fit a big snowflake on my nail like I wanted to, but I love the sort of snowflake french tip. :D
