Nfu Oh #51 Swatches

These photos are from a couple of months ago and I just never posted them because I really wasn't happy with them. The pictures just can't capture how gorgeous this polish is, and how different it looks. Most flakey polishes are sheer and need to be layered, so I love a flakey polish that can be worn on its own. This is Nfu Oh #51, a dark purple (bordering on blue) jelly loaded with color shifting flakeys. The flakes are big and shift from red to amber then green at an angle.

The formula on this polish is perfect for a jelly. I'm wearing three coats alone and there was no visible nail line in person. For some reason the pictures make it look as though there is a bare stripe at the tips of my nails, and it was completely opaque in person. The dry time was average, and I didn't have any issues with the brush or staining.

In person the polish looked just like the gorgeous bottle  in the picture above. My photography lights picked up on the semi-transparency of the jelly base and completely changed the look. Nfu Oh 51 is gorgeous, and a perfect opaque flakey polish. Flakes aren't my favorite finish (I keep wanting to love them, but just don't) and 51 is my favorite so far!

How do you feel about flakey finishes?
