I am overjoyed to share a new collection from KBShimmer with you all tonight. If you have been following the indie nail polish community at all over the past few years, you have likely heard of KBShimmer. They are the most popular indie nail polish brand ever! (at least in my opinion) They always have a wide range of nail polish colors and finishes that are hardly ever out of stock and super affordable. Plus, they also carry other bath and body products and nail art supplies. A one stop shop! I have been a huge fan of Christy's creations for years, so you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to join the KBShimmer blogging team. The Fall 2015 Collection is a set of 12 polishes including 4 cremes, 2 crellys, 2 jellies, 1 linear holographic, 1 glass fleck, 1 microglitter and 1 glow in the dark polish. These babies release tomorrow, so lets get into some swatches!
"Soul Deep" is a dark blurple creme. This vampy color is very opaque and pretty much a one coater. I did use two with a glossy top coat for this swatch but it was opaque in just one. The formula was amazing and super creamy. KBShimmer creme practically apply themselves. In bright light, this polish definitely looks blue/purple but in the shade is can look black.
"Breaking Blues" is a medium periwinkle creme polish. This, too, was super opaque and creamy. I dis use two coats with a glossy top coat here but I was pleasantly surprised when it was opaque after the first coat. This color came out much more purple in my photos than it was in real life. I would definitely call it periwinkle. This color is totally going to be my next pedi color!
"Teal It To My Heart" is a medium teal creme with some dusty undertones. I love these shades of greens! The formula was perfection and was opaque in one coat. I did two coats with a glossy top coat here just for consistency with all the creme polishes. Love this one!
"Such A Vlad-ass" is a deep red creme with some pinky/berry undertones. This was the least opaque creme in the collection but it was still completely opaque in 2 coats. The formula was wonderful and went on like butter. This is such a great shade for fall!
"Fig-Get About It" is a deep raisin/plum linear holographic polish. The rainbows in this baby are stunning! The holo is very strong even through the darker base. I used two easy coats with a glossy top coat. My photo is under a daylight bulb indoors, so you can just imagine the rainbow-holo-awesomeness in the direct sunlight outdoors.
"Talk Qwerty To Me" is a teal sheer jelly packed with teal, blue and gold glass flecks. This was the least opaque polish in the collection. I used two coats with a glossy top coat and you can still see a little bit of my visible nail line poking through. But the extra layers of polish adds more depth to the mani, All of the glass flecks were very shiny and reflective. It was difficult for my camera to focus!
"I Feel Gourd-geous" is a fine holographic microglitter that is fully opaque in two coats. The super fine glitter makes this one super easy to apply. I would call this color copper leaning gold with champagne undertones. There is definitely more of an overall copper feel to this polish. I think this is wonderful for fall and winter.
"Open Toad Shoes" is a murky olive green crelly with a cool mix of glitters in blue, gold and burgundy. This is one of those ugly-pretty colors and I love it! The formula is perfect. KBShimmer consistently has some of the best crelly glitter polishes out there. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. This polish is super unique and hopefully will get the love it truly deserves.
"I've Seen Sweater Days" is a light blue crelly packed with sparkly blue, green and silver glitters. There is a nice sprinkle of holographic microglitter in here as well that really makes it sparkle in real life. Again, the formula was amazing and completely opaque in two coats. This is a great polish fro the transition from fall to winter.
"Carpe Denim" is a deep blue jelly packed with silver holographic glitter. This polish looks like the night's sky on your nails. I have always liked these types of jelly glitter polishes. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. Application was a breeze. Then I couldn't let an awesome jelly go without using a matte top coat on it. Matte all the jellies!!
"Dark and Twisty" is black jelly polish with a rainbow of smaller metallic hex glitters. This is such a simple concept but looks so cool on the nail. I am surprised that I didn't already have something like this in my collection. The black jelly base is quite opaque, so I only needed two coats to get it completely opaque. And yes...this looks bomb all mattified!
"Be Scareful" is the fun Halloween polish in the bunch. It has a white crelly base and packed with orange and black glitters in several different shapes. There are stars and triangles and hexes and dots and shreds and microbars. Also...this polish glows in the dark a neon green color. The glow pigments do make the base a little thick. It did not apply as smoothly as the other crellys in the collection but I was still able to get it opaque in 2 thicker coats. This is gimmicky but super fun for Halloween.
The KBShimmer Fall 2015 Collection goes live tomorrow. One of the great things about KBShimmer is that they are fully stocked. It is very rare that collections will sell out and there is not a mad rush at launches. You will be able to get the polishes you want without hassle. The polishes in this collection range from $7.50 to $10.75 depending on the ingredients. You can also rack up KBShimmer points for money off future purchases on the site. Bonus! KBShimmer is only ships to the US, so be sure to check out Harlow & Co for international shipping.

So which polishes are you going to pick up this week? I think the cremes are all winners as well as Open Toad Shoes and Dark and Twisty. Let me know which ones are your faves.
