Takko Tuesday! - Rise & Grind

Happy Takko Tuesday!

Tonight, I have another brand new polish from Takko Lacquer to share with you.  Takko is releasing their Fall 2015 collection this Thursday which has a nice mix of dark shades and dusty shades.  And then there is this baby!  "Rise & Grind" is a mustard yellow/chartreuse green polish packed with real silver dust.  There is so much of the sliver microflakie shimmer in this polish.  It is a little on the thick side but I was able to get it completely opaque in ONE coat.  I did do two for this swatch just to see if a second coat deepened the color but I didn't need it.  I am sure you have all heard the term "ugly-pretty color" if you have been around the nail polish community.  Well, Rise & Grind is a perfect example of that term.  You will either love this shade or hate this shade...I freaking love it!  It reminds me of 70s home decor.  It's like a mix of Harvest Gold and Avocado (oh how I miss those crazy 70s colors!).  Let's look at dat shimma!

So, what do you think of this color?  Are you a lover or a hater?   Well, if you are a lover, set your alarm for 8pm EDT this Thursday the 8th.  This shade along with 6 other beauties will be released as well with a few restock shades.  I will be posting the other colors in this collection on my Instagram in the next few days, so make sure to follow me if you want some sneak peeks.  They will all make it to a Takko Tuesday in the future, too.  I definitely want to see your mani if you snag this color, so be sure to tag me on Instagram when you post it.

  1. I ususally hate yellow on my nails especially mustard or chartreuse... but I don't know how I feel about this polish. I kind of like it :) maybe I have to wait and see how it looks on my nails. :D
