Essie - Resort Collection 2016

Howdy!

I have something a little different to share with you tonight.  It's Essie!  I never really buy Essie polishes because I just haven't been in love with the formulas, the color selection or the price.  So what possessed me to pick up the mini set of the new Resort collection for full price while at Ulta a few weeks ago is beyond me.  When I got home and was emptying my bag, I pulled out the little box of mini polishes and shook my head.  Why did I buy this?  Well, it must have been divine intervention telling me to give Essie another shot because I freaking love these polishes!  I am shocked, for real.  So, I just had to share them with you all.

"Taj-Ma-Haul" is a slightly red tinged pumpkin orange creme.  It is sort of like a muted terracotta.  I love it!  The formula was great.  It was thick but the good kind of thick.  No pooling or balding here.  I did two coats with no top coat here.  All of these were great without a top coat.

"Delhi Dance" is a bright bubblegum pink creme.  This will be a great color for pedicures this summer.  Again, this had a nice, slightly thick formula.  It only took two coats for a streak free mani,  I did not need a top coat here either.  It is quite shiny on its own.

"Going Guru" is a minty green creme with a touch of yellow.  I was expecting this one to be awful because it is typical of these colors but it was very nice.  The formula was a little thick but in a good way.  I did two coats without a top coat for these swatches and it covered completely.  Impressed!

"Nama-Stay the Night" is a bright blue creme and sure to the crowd favorite of this quad.  The formula was fantastic and was pretty much a one coater.  I did do two coats for this swatch but I did not need a top coat.  It is very shiny on its own.  Everyone loves a nice bright blue polish!

Yep...I really like this collection.  I can't believe show shiny these were on their own.  I would definitely recommend all four of them.  You can purchase them individually or in a set of four.  The minis only come as a set and aren't sold individually.  You can get Essie polishes almost anywhere.  I got mine at Ulta but you can find them cheaper online with a simple search.  Let me know if you have picked up this collection and if you were as impressed with them as I was.

 Thanks all!

  2. Great collection! :) I do not own many Essie polishes, as you have seen this month. ^^ I'm more an ANNY kind of girl. But they have nice colors now and then. Your nails are perfect for our little gallery this month.
