Today, I am sharing with you the newest collection from Nine Zero Lacquer. The Halloween 2016 is a fun mix of festive colors perfect for Halloween. There are glitters and crellies and lots of bling! And there is plenty of time to get these babies in your hands before Halloween. So let's dive right in and take a look at the 6 polishes in this collection!
Tricks No Treats - A white crelly base packed with metallic shred glitters in purple, orange and green. Normally, I would shy away from shredded glitter. But these shreds are really cool. They are soft and don't stick up off of the nail and are easy to manipulate. The white creelly base is slightly sheer so that the color of the glitters show through but still opaque enough to cover the nail. I am showing you three coats with a glossy top coat here.
Jack-O-Lantern Juice - A primary orange crelly with black glitter shreds. Again, the shreds are really nice and easy to manipulate. This polish screams Halloween to me! I am showing you three coats with a glossy top coat here.
Cauldron Fire - A black jelly packed with orange holographic glitters in small and micro sizes. This is a classic Halloween combo and perfect for people that prefer the black to the orange. I prefer orange, naturally. The holo glitter shines nicely through the black base on this polish. The formula was nice and easy to apply. I am showing you two thick coats with a glossy top coat here.
Spooky Lights - A intense silver linear holographic base with semi-transparent hex glitters in purple, orange, green and black. This is the Halloween version of the very popular Twinkle Lights from the Holiday 2015 Collection. This polish is a little sheer and could be worn as a topper, but I prefer it on it's own. The holographic effect is just so intense. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here. Under my bright lights, you can see some visible nail line but this was not apparent in real life.
The Witching Hour - A clear based polish that is packed to the brim with holographic micoglitter in orange, purple, green and black. Classic witch colors right here! The color combo in this glitter looks nice together and gives off that Halloween vibe. This polish can be thick with all of the glitter that is packed in it. I am showing you two thick coats with a glossy top coat here. If you want a smoother finished manicure, add a second layer of glossy top coat.
Black Cat Optional - A clear based polish with silver holographic microglitter mixed with orange holographic hexes and matte black and white glitters. Man, this polish is super blingy. The holographic microglitter is super sprakly. I am showing you two coats here and if you look at the macro, you can see gaps between the glitters. But in real life, the sparkle coming off of may nails makes it difficult to see those gaps. My photos don't to the sparkle justice. A generous layer of glossy top coat is recommended.
So, what do you think of this collection? I really like it. There are some obvious Halloween polishes in here, but several you could wear year round. My favorite is Jack-O-Lantern Juice. It is just so perfect for the holiday. Jess will be restocking this collection tomorrow (I do not know an exact time). You can purchase the polishes individually or get the entire collection of 6 for $54. Which will you be picking up this year?
