Powder Perfect - Egyptology Series III

Hello lovelies!

I have a very cool collection of shimmering holographic wonders to share with you.  Powder Perfect has come out with another great collection in their Egyptology Series.  Each of these polishes is inspired by ancient Egypt, as are the previous collections in this series.  These 10 polishes have a very similar formula with rich colors and subtle holographic effect.  They call it "Holo-twist" which has the sparkle of holographic microglitter but a smooth application.   I really enjoyed them and I hope you do, too.  The collection is available right now, so let's get into the colors so you know which ones you want to pick up!

Powder Perfect - Egyptology Series III - McPolish

Weighing the Heart - A bright rosy pink with subtle holographic sparkle and orange flecks.  This holo-twist formula is great.  Smooth application but super sparkly.  This is two coats with Lady Lightening Top Coat.

Hathor -  A bright fuchsia pink holo-twist with pink/orange flecks and subtle holo shimmer.  This one was pretty bright in person and I think lots of ladies will love the color.  Two coats with Lady Lightening Top Coat.

Saqqara - A red salmon shade with subtle holographic shimmer and red/gold flecks in that smooth holo-twist formula.  This color is really hard to describe.  It jumped back and forth between orange a and red as I wore it throughout the day in different lighting.  I really love this color!  Two smooth coats with Lady Lightening on top.

Horus - A deep cranberry holo-twist with burning red glitters and holographic shimmer.  Yum!  This is a perfect shade for fall.  It's dark and sexy but still vibrant and sparkly. Application was a dream as well.  This is two coats topped with Lady Lightening.

Heka - A deep plum holo-twist with purple flecks and holographic shimmer.  This shade is similar in tone to Horus just much more purple.  Another great color with an awesome formula.  I am showing you two coats with Lady Lightening on top.

Scarab - A blue toned deep teal with dark blue glitters and holographic shimmer.  The holo-twist formula really makes this shade perfect.  Wonderful teal and super easy formula...it is sure to be a fave.  I am showing you two coats with Lady Lightening on top.

Mother Goddess - An ocean blue holo-twist with aqua shimmering glitters and holographic effect.  If Scarab is more like the deep ocean, Mother Goddess is more like the tranquil sea.  This blue is bright and flashy.  Two coats topped with Lady Lightening.

Osiris - A deep emerald green holo-twist with golden shimmer and holographic effect.  Green polish lovers....get your mitts on this beauty!  This is such a beautiful shade of green and the holo effect is very complimentary.  Smooth application with just two coats and Lady Lightening on top.

Ra - A champagne holo-twist.  The base of this polish is silver with added bits of golden flecks and holo.  It gives off the effect of antiqued metal or champagne gold quality.  Really cool effect.  Super sparkly but sheerer than the others in this collection.  This required three coats for full opacity with Lady Lightening on top.

Divine Pharoh - A silver based holographic with copper microglitters and gold flakes with aqua iridescent shifty microshimmer.  This is a special little baby!  It is different than the rest of the collection as it has more glitters and larger flakes.  But the effect is so sparkly and rich looking that I could not take my eye off of my nails.  You really have to see this polish in person.  This was the other sheerer formula and I needed three coats for full opacity.  I topped it off with Lady Lightening.

Aren't these polishes so freaking pretty?  The formula on these is fantastic.  I really like this whole Holo-twist idea as I love a smooth finish on holographic polishes.  It make application and removal so much easier.  My favorites are Divine Pharoh, Ra, Scarab, Horus and Saqqara.  But the entire collection is just beautiful.  You can get the entire collection at a discount for $117 or buy the shades individually for $13 each.  Their Australian site is down until November but you can still purchase from their US site and stockists.  Which are you going to pick up?

  2. Hello! You mentioned that the holo-twist formula makes removal easier. Does that mean it isn't hard to remove? I really love these color's but have to avoid soaking in acetone.
    Thank you!

    1. I don't remember having issues removing these but I do use peel off base coats regularly. They definitely did not act like a microglitter.
