I hope you are all enjoying the summer!  I have a sweet little trio from Cupcake Polish to celebrate their 5th anniversary to share with you today.  This limited edition trio launches today and will only be available through the month of July.  5 years is a long time for this indie nail polish world.  Congrats to Sara for creating amazing bottle of sunshine for all these years!  Let's take a look at the new pretties.

Pahlish - Doctor...Who? Collection

Today, I have some new polishes from Pahlish to share with you.  The Doctor...Who? Collection is a quad of four polishes inspired by, of course, Doctor Who.  Each of the polishes is unique in color and finish but still make a nice collection.  Pahlish never disappoints with beautiful lacquers and great formulas.  They will be restocking this collection tomorrow, so let's take a look!

Pahlish - Life Aquatic Collection

I have been battling strep throat most of the week and am finally feeling like a normal human again.  So let's start the week off with a shiny collection from Pahlish.  The Life Aquatic Collection is a group of 6 polishes with the same finish just in different colors.  The finish is a bright, shiny foil flake metallic.  Like super shiny!  I didn't include macro shots in this post because the polishes wee just so shiny that they made my macro lens freak out.  There is no glitter in these shades so application and removal is easy.  To not repeat myself a bunch of times, all of these swatches are with two coats and a glossy top coat.  I will let you know if there were any deviations from the norm in the individual descriptions.  These babies are available now, so let's take a look!

Butter London Victoriana Swatches

Today I have an absolutely stunning blue to show you: this is Butter London Victoriana. Now, I know people are pretty split when it comes to the Butter London brand, either you love their formula or you hate it (I'm a lover), some of their colors may not be very unique, but you can't argue with me that this blue isn't absolutely stunning and unique.

Victoriana is a medium, dusty, teal toned blue loaded up with foil-like shimmer. The color is deep and rich yet soft. I love this color, there's something about a soft blue that looks great on anyone. Butter London actually calls this one a glitter, but that's definitely large foil particles to me.

Victoriana has a lovely formula, it's smooth yet pigmented, and incredibly fast drying. I used two coats for the photos below, and one thin coat of topcoat.

Just look at those gorgeous macros! I need to wear this polish more often, it's totally unique in my collection. What do you think?

ManGlaze Mink Mitten

I'm back today with ManGlaze Mink Mitten swatches! I promise I haven't disappeared off the face of the planet. I've been a bad blogger lately and it's been ages since I've had a chance to post (I'd make the usual excuses of life being busy, being out of town, and having family issues come up, but you've heard all of that before).

ManGlaze Mink Mitten is a beautiful silvery blue-toned purple suede finish polish. The finish really strikes me as a matte foil finish, it's extremely interesting, and unlike anything else I've seen.

The formula was excellent, just like the other ManGlaze polishes I've used. This is two smooth coats of Mink Mitten and it's perfectly opaque. The wear time was excellent and I wore this manicure for two or three days without noticing any tip wear.

Funny to think of a matte polish as being sparkly, but Mink Mitten definitely sparkles. 

The funniest thing happened when I went to remove this polish. I made a swipe with my acetone and looked down to find that the foil base of the polish was still intact while the color was totally gone leaving a silver matte foil behind. (Photo below shows four fingers after acetone and the thumb normal.) I can think of lots of nail art possibilities with this one!

I can't believe how much I love matte finishes anymore, but I love the unique look of Mink Mitten, it's so beautiful and different in my stash!
