Today, I have a quick little nail art to share with you all. I did this mani on a whim trying out some new nail art vinyls from Whats Up Nails and just loved it so much that it needed it's own post. Vinyl nail art stencils have taken over the world. They make complicated nail art so simple that anyone can use them and still get a good mani. Beginner or expert nail artist...no problem. Whats Up Nails has so many patterns to chose from that is can be overwhelming. Usually, I have a set idea of a manicure in my head and then find the tools and polishes to make it. But this time, I let the pattern of the vinyls guide me. I saw these delicate butterfly vinyls and got a vision of crystalline butterflies flitting about in the the snow and ice. Like a wintry butterfly garden with snowflakes and ice flowers all around. (what can I say, I miss the snow and winter isn't winter without it. there's no winter in Florida) So this manicure organically happened out of my longing for snow and ice.

Half Moon Nails for the #31DC2016Weekly
Monday, July 4, 2016
Happy 4th of July fellow Americans!
I am a few days late with my mani for the #31DC2016Weekly this week but you will forgive me, right? I have been hanging out by the beach with my mother this holiday weekend and just haven't been able to sit down and write this post. I have a few minutes now, so let's get into it!! This week's prompt is Half Moons. I always like this nail art look. It looks classy and can be made pretty funky, too. I wanted to repeat my manicure from last year. But that is not the point of the challenge. You are supposed to do something new to you. So, this year, I did a little gradient half moon. This look was very much inspired by a recent tutorial by The Nail Trail. In Hannah's look, she did ruffian instead of a half moon but the blue gradient under the nude nails looked so good, I just had to try it myself. I made my half moon a little bit larger than you would typically see but I really wanted to show off the colors better.

Metallic Nails for the #31DC2016Weekly
Saturday, April 23, 2016
Hi all!
Happy Saturday, time for the next prompt in the weekly version of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. This week, the theme is metallic nails. My most favorite metallic trend lately has been rose gold. It's feminine and chic and I dig it. I recently saw the Sinful Shine King Kylie display at Walmart and had to get this pretty little metallic polish, "Kreme De La Kreme", and had to get it. It is a deeper rose gold color that leans a little more on the copper side than on the gold side. I used this color as the base of my mani.
Next, I placed swirly nail vinyls from Whats Up Nails randomly on the edges of the nails. I covered it with a thick coat of P2 Cosmetics "Winding Fjord" and pulled off the vinyls while it was still wet. This is a beautiful deep teal creme from the Brave and Beautiful Collection. I topped it all off with a glossy top coat.
I just had to see what this looked like with a matte top coat, too. I just love a matte mani! I really liked it both ways, glossy and matte. Which do you like better?

I really, really liked how this came out. And these vinyls were way fun. I haven't used these swirly patterns before. Whats Up Nails has a ton of different designs to choose from so they will have something for everyone. Also, be sure to check out the #31DC2016Weekly tag on your favorite social media platform: Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I am loving seeing everyone's nail art each week!
Many thanks!

Barielle Jet Setter Collection Nail Art
Monday, January 5, 2015
Hello 2015!
McPolish here with my first blog post in 2015! I am sure we all have a long list of "resolutions" for the new year. Mine include all of the typical items; weight loss, better organization, better correspondence, save money. But I also have nail polish related goals, too. One is to blog more consistently and the other is to organize and destash my collection. It's very overweight and needs to slim down this year. Haha! My stash has its own weight loss new years resolution. I haven't decided what I am going to do with my destashed polishes but I will be sure to let you all know (when that time comes).
So on to three nail art looks using the newest collection from Barielle! The Jet Setter collection is a combination of cool and muted tones that are great for winter. These 6 polishes were easily paired off into complimenting color combos that just needed to be be used together. I will describe how I created each of these looks after the jump!

Stamping over nail vinyls
Wednesday, March 26, 2014
Hi Girls! Sorry I have been MIA lately. I started a new job back in late January and I have been so busy. I usually would write parts of my blog posts during my breaks at work but sadly I have had to put it off to the back burner.
Today I just wanted to show you my stamping I did using some nail vinyl stickers I had ordered online.
Today I just wanted to show you my stamping I did using some nail vinyl stickers I had ordered online.
I started my base with some of my favorite OPI's. Alpine snow, Black Onyx and Hey Baby.
I then applied nail vinyl stickers. You can also use regular tape and cut them with pinking sheers.
I got my stamping image ready to apply to my nail
After stamping and removing the nail stickers. You have a very unique image. I chose chevrons for a creative accent nail.
I hope you give this a try. Let me know what you think!
