I am just getting in my challenge nails for the week by the skin of my teeth! For the 20th week of the #31DC2017Weekly, we are doing Watermarbles. Everyone's favorite nail art technique. Haha! Some people love doing this technique while others continuously struggle. I am just average at it. I mess it ip a bunch of times before I get something that I like. I do prefer using jelly polishes for watermarbles, they just seem to spread better for me than cremes or shimmers. This week, I did a design that I haven't really done before. More of a striped look that a classic flower design. And then I stamped over it! Crazy times, yo.

Lavish Polish - Fall 2016 Collection
Saturday, October 15, 2016
Hello!
I have some pretty amazing polishes to share with you today. I have raved before about my love for Lavish Polish formulas. Their crelly and jelly polish formula is one of my absolute favorite in the business. Well, this collection of holos are just perfect, too! The Fall 2016 Collection consists of 5 linear holographic in deep, saturated colors and impeccable crelly formula. The colors are so vivid and perfect for any time of the year. And the formulas are amazing. Not only do they watermarble like a dream but they were all one coaters for me. Yep...in every one of these photos, I am showing you one generous coat with a glossy top coat. No lie! This collection just launched today, so lets take a look at these amazing shades.

Inspired by a Song for the #31DC2016Weekly
Sunday, July 31, 2016
Hi friends!
Sorry that I am a day late on posting my #31DC2016Weekly mani but I had numerous nail art fails yesterday and ran out of time. But I am happy with today's attempt! This mani was inspired by the hit song from DNCE called 'Cake by the Ocean', I am certain you know this song, it has been a huge hit! Not only is this song super fun but I have been dying to try out beach nails.

This mani was inspired by the hit song from DNCE called 'Cake by the Ocean', I am certain you know this song, it has been a huge hit! Not only is this song super fun but I have been dying to try out beach nails.
My base is a gradient of Zoya "Ling" and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in "Shocking Nude" made with a makeup sponge. Then I a a spray water marble technique to make the water effect. I dropped a drop of white nail polish into water then sprayed it with some aerosol hair spray. The alcohol in the hair spray makes the paint separate and gives it that cool effect when you dip you nail in.
Next, I used a little cake image from a Winstonia plate. I did a little reversed stamping and colored in the cake with pink and purple and threw it on the nail. I topped it all off with a glossy top coat. And bam! Cake by the Ocean! Haha. I know it is a little silly and literal but they used a great big slice of cake on the beach in the music video, so I though it was fitting. Plus, I really like how the spray watermarble turned out. If you haven't seen the video before, check it out below!
Watermarble Nails for the #31DC2016Weekly
Saturday, July 16, 2016
Hey there!
For week 20 of the #31DC2016Weekly, we are doing watermarble! Oh, the dreaded watermarble. This is typically the hardest prompt for people. I am still not that good at doing this technique. I have had the most success with jelly polishes and Pipe Dream Polish cremes. Every year, I use some of the Pipe Dream Polish cremes to do this prompt. They just watermarble so well! This year, I used three polishes from the Mellowed Out Cremes collection. Unfortunately, they are no longer available. But Pipe Dream Polish does have a new collection of Tie-Dyed Jellies out right now that watermarble very well. I haven't been able to snag them yet but I plan to!
For this mani, I used three colors: Chillax (dusty blue), Peace Out (dusty purple) and Peace Out (dusty orchid pink). They applied smoothly and I did not use a base color under my watermarble design. So what you are seeing is just one coat of the watermarble over the bare nail. They are super opaque! I would like to say that it only took me one try for each nail but I had to redo the watermarble design over and over again. Like I said, I am not a pro.

Then I just had to add a little bit of holographic bling to the mani. Everything is better with a little sparkle, right? I topped this manicure off with a think coat of Ride the Boogie, also by Pipe Dream Polish. It is a simple topper with silver holographic glitters of various sizes.
I hope you liked this manicure! Watermarbles are always hard and I am stoked when they come out nicely. This ends the second part of the #31DC2016Weekly. Next week, we start the home stretch and the most difficult themes. I will have to use my creative brain much more for the rest of the challenge. If you want to check out what other ladies have been doing for the challenge this week, check out the tag #31DC2016Weekly on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!
Many thanks!

Lavish Polish - Spring 2016 Collection
Sunday, April 17, 2016
Hi folks!
I have another pretty Spring collection to share you with you all today. This is a small collection of 5 polishes from Lavish Polish. They are all holographic crellies that are sweet and dainty for the season. I am sure I have said this before on the blog, but Lavish Polish makes some of my favorite crellies. Their formulas are just divine. For these photos, I did a little watermarble accent nail using all five colors of the collection. They watermarbled quite well! This collection is available right now, so let's take a look!

Lavish Polish - Summer 2015 Collection
Monday, July 6, 2015
Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a happy and safe Independence Day this weekend! (at least those of you that live in the States) Mine was pretty lame as I had to work. So, to start off this lovely week, I have a bright summer collection to share with you. Lavish Polish has come out with a collection of five summer neons. I preferred some of these on their own and some of these over a white base. They are all super bright and actually water marbled quite well. I am not a professional water marble artist like some ladies in Instragram are. So if they worked for me...they should work for you! I did a little water marble accent nail for all of these swatches using all five colors over a white base. Let's get into some summer neons!
31 Day Nail Art Challenge: Week 3 Roundup
Monday, September 22, 2014
Hey there, friends!
The third week has been tackled and all of the hard prompts are left! I am very happy to have made it through this far. It hasn't been too bad! Now last year, I fell off the #31dc2013 wagon on Day 23 (which is tomorrow!!). So I am even more determined to push on through to the end this year. The last week of prompts is a little more challenging and requires a bit more creativity to come up with new nail art ideas that you haven't already done this month yet. But this third week is fun! The prompts are more specific. So even if you can't think of some creative twist, you can always fall back on the standard nail art technique for the prompt that day. Enough blabbing...onto some nail art!

Margarita on the Rocks Here!
Tuesday, January 7, 2014
Hi ALL!
I am very excited to be here with my very first blog post! A
Year ago when I started collecting nail polish, I never thought I would be
here. I signed up for a nail polish sub box in December of 2012 and it was all downhill
from there. I joined Instagram later on in March and posted my first water
marble on St. Patrick’s day. The past year I have met several fabulous ladies
on IG who have encouraged and supported my nail polish addiction! I am really into nail art and love trying new interesting techniques. I love stamping, glitter gradients and different polish combinations. Here are several pics of mine from Instagram so you can get to know a little bit of what I will be posting.
I think Winter may be my favorite season for nail art. I did these last month.
