Road to Polish Con - Week 2 (Fanchromatic Nails, Lavish Polish, Colors by Llarowe)

Hello there!

The Road to Polish Con is underway!  Week 1 exclusives are available this week until Saturday.  Then, on Sunday, Week 2 polishes will be available.  There are two different shipping options available.  You can just purchase as you go each week and have the polishes shipped to you within the turn around time.  Or you can hold all of your purchases until the end and have them all shipped at once in one package (and one shipping charge).  All of the shipping info is located on The Polish Convention site.  For Week 2, there are three indie brands offering up delicious beauties for the Con.  One is brand new to the Con, one is brand new to the Chicago Con and one has been to them all so far.  Let's take a look at them!

Colors by Llarowe Dirty Diana Swatches!

When I first started becoming obsessed interested in nail polish, linear holographic polishes were rare and coveted. Back then, even the dullest holo was something new and amazing (and would fetch a pretty penny). These days we're quite spoiled with holos. Almost every indie brand has their own collection of linear holos, and they are all absolutely stunning. I've become so spoiled with linear holographics that it takes a lot to impress me anymore. Colors by Llarowe, however, has produced some of the most stunning holos I've ever seen. These polishes combine vivid jelly bases (my favorite for holos) with some of the most intense holos I've ever seen.

Colors by Llarowe Dirty Dianna is a dark burgundy-purple base with linear holographic. The formula seemes perfection to me, it's opaque in two coats, and dries very quickly. I topped it with Seche Vite top coat and didn't have any dulling of the holo. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best wear time on this polish, it lasted about two days before it began to chip, which is actually pretty normal for holos. I will definitely have to try out different base/top coats to figure out how to make it last longer, because the rich color is to-die-for.

Just LOOK at that holo!

Have you tried Colors by Llarowe? Are you a fan of these stunning holo finishes?

Margarita on the Rocks Here!

Hi ALL!

I am very excited to be here with my very first blog post! A Year ago when I started collecting nail polish, I never thought I would be here. I signed up for a nail polish sub box in December of 2012 and it was all downhill from there. I joined Instagram later on in March and posted my first water marble on St. Patrick’s day. The past year I have met several fabulous ladies on IG who have encouraged and supported my nail polish addiction! I am really into nail art and love trying new interesting techniques. I love stamping, glitter gradients and different polish combinations. Here are several pics of mine from Instagram so you can get to know a little bit of what I will be posting.

I think Winter may be my favorite season for nail art. I did these last month.
