Road to Polish Con - Week 1 (Great Lakes Lacquer, Ever After Polish, Tonic Polish)
Thursday, June 29, 2017
Hi friends!
I am so happy to announce that I am an official blogger for The Polish Convention this fall! The Polish Con is a biannual meet up for indie nail polish companies for sell their gorgeous polishes, fanatics like us to snag exclusive shades and meet makers, and for budding nail artists to brush up on new nail art techniques. I have attended both of the Polish Cons that have occurred and hope to make it to the third one this fall in Chicago. This year, for the Spring 2017 NYC Con, the creators have started a "Road to Polish Con" sale and are doing it again for the Fall 2017 Chicago Con. Starting next week, indie brands that will be participating in the Con will have exclusive polishes available each week leading up to the convention. These polishes will be available for purchase through the official Polish Con site and are limited edition batches. The Fall convention is in Chicago again and the theme is A Fair to Remember. So get ready for lots of fun polish names to enhance those themes. Let's take a look at the very first week of exclusives!

Takko Tuesday! - Peacock Feathers
Tuesday, May 23, 2017
Happy Takko Tuesday!
I am ashamed that I missed Takko Tuesday last week because I was ill. It was a sad day indeed. But I am back at it again this week with a pretty polish from Takko Lacquer. Today, we are going to take a closer look at a new shade that is exclusive to the Mei Mei Signatures online store. "Peacock Feathers" was released for a very short preorder window several weeks back on Mei Mei's site. I would imagine it will be offered again.
Pun with Pokemon - Exclusive Color4Nails Collection
Monday, October 3, 2016
Hey guys!
I have a fun little collection to share with you all today. My favorite indie stockist, Color4Nails, has teamed up with six different indie polish makers to create a collection of polishes inspired but the resent Pokemon Go craze. I will admit...I am one of the people that fell hard for this game. I had never played Pokemon once in my life before but got hooked on this game as soon as it came out. Hunting Pokemon in the real world?!? Yes, please! If you are a Pokemon fan as well, you will love the inspiration for these shades. Each of the polishes in this collection are inspired by a favorite Pokemon. They will only be available from the Color4Nails online store. And the names are super punny which is a bonus. You are going to want to catch them all!

Berried in the Sand - A raspberry pink jellyish base with a strong linear holo effect and lots of shimmery microflakies. This one is awesome! It is very holo in real life and the formula is fantastic. I am showing you one coat topped with Clearly on Top. ONE COAT! Isn't that amazing? I think so.

The formula on this one is a little thicker and not as smooth of an application because of all of that shimmer. But the final look is worth it. I am showing you two coats with Clearly on Top. I like these work appropriate neutrals with a little extra something special.
Aren't these two pretty?!? I am torn on which one I like the best, I really like them both. If you want to pick these up, head over to the Color4Nails shop at 3pm PDT tonight. I am sure they will be a huge hit and fly off of the virtual shelf.

Cupcake Polish - Exclusive duo for Color4Nails (Enchanted/Whimsy)
Monday, May 16, 2016
Hi all!
Tonight, I have a quick look at two stunning polishes from Cupcake Polish. They have produced another great duo of shades to be sold exclusively out of my favorite indie nail polish stockist, Color4Nails. You will only be able to get these polishes through the stockist, they will not be sold on the Cupcake Polish store. These colors are gorgeous, as per usual, and are available now for purchase.
Whimsy - A pink leaning orchid linear holographic polish with tons of pink and iridescent microflakie shimmer. The holo in this shade is strong but not overwhelming. It leads itself well to the name and feel of this polish. Whimsical but bold. The formula was really nice, a little on the thick side which is just the way I like it. I did two coats with a glossy top coat here. The strong blue flash of the holo makes my macro shot come out more darker and more purple than the actual color but you can really see all of those flakies in it.

Enchanted - An emerald green linear holographic polish with light blue/aqua and iridescent microflakie shimmer. Oh damn...this one is amazing! This polish really glows from within. The color is deep, the formula is opaque and the shimmer is lovely. I only used one thickish coat for this swatch. Yep...one coat. Then I topped it with a glossy top coat. Beautiful, right?
As I said before, both of these polishes are available now from Color4Nails. They retail for $14 each and have world wide shipping for a great price. Be sure to check out the other Cupcake Polish shades that Color4Nails has to offer.

Lilypad Lacquer Trio for Color4Nails
Monday, April 18, 2016
Hello!
I have a small little trio of shifty polishes to share with you all today. They are from Lilypad Lacquer, which is an indie nail polish company out of Australia. They have created a trio of polishes to be sold exclusively out of my favorite US stockist, Color4Nails. There have been many Color4Nails exclusives lately and I am loving all of the wonderful shades and finishes. When I first saw this trio, I though it looked a a little drab for Spring. Then I realized where they came from and right now, it is Autumn in Australia. So these are perfect for that time of year there! These three shades are flakie filled and super shifty. They look pretty interesting on the nail, so let's take a look!

Cupcake Polish - Color4Nails exclusive duo
Friday, February 12, 2016
Happy Friday!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. I do not have any plans and I am loving that. Yay for open weekends! Well, tonight, I have a lovely little holographic duo from Cupcake Polish to share with you. As you saw in my Holo Hookup Box review, Cupcake Polish makes some pretty awesome linear holographic polishes. They created this little duo to be sold exclusively through Color4Nails and they are gorgeous! I wish my photos did these polishes justice. They are just so pretty in person.
"Bitter Almonds" is a gunmetal grey linear holographic polish that is packed with metallic silver flakies. There is a little bit of a golden shimmer in here as well. Just a nice mix of metals. The formula was great and this polish was opaque in almost one coat. I did do two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. The holo is very strong but still lets the flakies shine through. Mmmmm...grey polish.
Two stunners here. And you can only get these from Color4Nails for limited time. They are single batch pours and once they are sold out, they will not be restocked. You can purchase the duo for $27 or get them individually for $14 each. Make sure to add a few more pretties do you cart while you are at Color4Nails. They offer free shipping with orders of 4 bottles or more to the US and they offer international shipping as well. Bonus!

"Unrequited Love" is the other polish in the exclusive duo. It is a deep berry/burgundy linear holographic polish with the same metallic silver flakies. Under the burgundy base, these silver flakies take on a berry look to them. So pretty! The linear holo is very strong inthis one, too. The formula was amazing and I only needed one thick coat for full opacity. I did do a second coat to see if it changed the color at all but I couldn't see a difference. These photos show it in two coats with a glossy top coat.

Pipe down this Love is Bliss June box
Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Hi lovelies!
There is a super cool monthly indie polish box available that you should definitely check out! "Pipe down this Love is Bliss" is a themed monthly polish box that is the combination of three indie brands: Pipe Dream Polish, Love Angeline and Bliss Polish. Each month they also feature another indie maker to round out the box with 4 exclusive polishes for $30. For June, the theme of the box is "Take Me Away" and all the polishes are inspired by a tropical beach vacation. The ladies asked The Juice Box Lacquer to join in for this months box and it is a bittersweet collaboration because Bre is closing up shop. This will be one of her last new polishes to be released...so you better get your hands on it!
"Sunset on Paradise" is the polish from Bliss Polish. I love this orange/coral crelly! There is a mix of red and pink and gold glitters that really make you think of a tropical sunset. I used 2 thick coats with a top coat for this swatch.
"Sand Castles" is from Love, Angeline. Oh boy! I just love, love, love this polish. It's a very flattering nude polish with a subtle holo and multicolored microflakies. So beautiful! I used 2 coats for full coverage along with a top coat.
"Sea Bubbles" is from Pipe Dream Polish. I dabbed on 1 coat of this teal/blue holo glitter topper over a coral base. Who doesn't love circle glitter??? This glitter looks great over many colors.
"Sparkling Waters" is the special, goodbye polish from The Juice Box Lacquer. This is really stunning and full of teal and gold flakies. I used three coats for full opacity but this looks great with one coat over darker colors.
The "Take Me Away" box releases today at 10am PST!! You can get all 4 of these exclusive polishes for just $30 plus shipping and handling. There will only be 30 boxes available, so be sure to order one before they are all gone!!
This month the "Pipe down this Love is Bliss" box will be sold from the Bliss Polish store. But be sure to check out all the stores for even more indie beauties!
