I have a fun little collection to share with you all today. My favorite indie stockist, Color4Nails, has teamed up with six different indie polish makers to create a collection of polishes inspired but the resent Pokemon Go craze. I will admit...I am one of the people that fell hard for this game. I had never played Pokemon once in my life before but got hooked on this game as soon as it came out. Hunting Pokemon in the real world?!? Yes, please! If you are a Pokemon fan as well, you will love the inspiration for these shades. Each of the polishes in this collection are inspired by a favorite Pokemon. They will only be available from the Color4Nails online store. And the names are super punny which is a bonus. You are going to want to catch them all!
Bad to the Cubone - by Delush Polish
Inspired by Cubone, this is a black jelly base loaded with golden shimmer and various sized hex glitters ins gold and silver. I love the color of this polish. The combo of black and gold give it a more brown effect which is perfect for fall. Application was nice and easy. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here.
Wishing Upon a Staryu - by Cadillacquer
Inspired by Staryu, this is a cherry red jelly base packed with golden microglitter and shimmer. This polish looks very squishy on the nail, which I like. The formula was slightly thick but it was not difficult to apply. I am showing you three coats with a glossy top coat here.
Happily Eevee After - by Nine Zero Lacquer
Inspired by Eevee, this is a dirty copper metallic with a linear holographic shimmer. I call this a dirty copper because it leans a little more on the brown side than orange. It is very opaque and if you are careful with application, you could probably get away with only one coat. I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here. With the metallic base, it can show brush strokes. Eevee is my fave little Pokemon, she is so cute!
Don't Be Tentacruel - by Different Dimension
Inspired by Tentacruel, this is an ocean blue linear holo with a bright pink microflakie shimmer. Great color and great formula on this polish. I am showing you two easy coats with a glossy top coat here.
Pikachu, I See You - by Ever After Polish
Inspired by Pikachu, this is a light, lemony yellow jelly with a linear holographic effect and pink, blue and yellow microshimmer. This is a pretty polish! The shimmer is very present and the formula was nice for a yellow. I did two coats with a glossy top coat for these swatches. You can still make out a little of my visible nail line under the bright lights but I couldn't see it much in real life. If you have longer nails than me, you might want a third coat.
Judge, Jury and Exeggcute-tioner - by Celestial Cosmetics
Inspired by Exeggcute, this is a pale, princess pink with iridescent microshimmer and subtle holo effect. It is girly and dainty and sure to be a crowd pleaser. The formula was okay, a little on the thick side with all of the shimmer packed in here. I am showing you two thicker coats with a glossy top coat here.
What do you think of these shades? I really like all of them. If I had to pick a fave, it would be Happily Eevee After purely because Eevee is my favorite Pokemon. All six of these polishes will be available from Color4Nails on October 7th. They will be sold as a set of six and individually as well. You will only be able to get these from Color4Nails and not from the individual indie polish shops.
Which will you be picking up and what is your favorite Pokemon?
Thanks for stopping by!
