Road to Polish Con - Week 2 (Fanchromatic Nails, Lavish Polish, Colors by Llarowe)

The Road to Polish Con is underway!  Week 1 exclusives are available this week until Saturday.  Then, on Sunday, Week 2 polishes will be available.  There are two different shipping options available.  You can just purchase as you go each week and have the polishes shipped to you within the turn around time.  Or you can hold all of your purchases until the end and have them all shipped at once in one package (and one shipping charge).  All of the shipping info is located on The Polish Convention site.  For Week 2, there are three indie brands offering up delicious beauties for the Con.  One is brand new to the Con, one is brand new to the Chicago Con and one has been to them all so far.  Let's take a look at them!

Two posts in one day...what is happening!  Like I said in my previous post, I was quite ill this week and am making up lost time.  Plus, I just had to show you this new collection from Lavish Polish.  the Squad Goals collection is a quad of cool jelly polishes with flakies and holographic microglitter.  They are bright and rich in color which make them perfect for summer.  The collection released tomorrow, so let's take a look!

I have some pretty amazing polishes to share with you today.  I have raved before about my love for Lavish Polish formulas.  Their crelly and jelly polish formula is one of my absolute favorite in the business.  Well, this collection of holos are just perfect, too!  The Fall 2016 Collection consists of 5 linear holographic in deep, saturated colors and impeccable crelly formula.  The colors are so vivid and perfect for any time of the year.  And the formulas are amazing.  Not only do they watermarble like a dream but they were all one coaters for me.  Yep...in every one of these photos, I am showing you one generous coat with a glossy top coat.  No lie!  This collection just launched today, so lets take a look at these amazing shades.

I have another fun Awesome Sauce Indie Box to share with you today!  This new box is inspired by Lisa Frank.  Lisa Frank brings me back to grade school.  Her neon bright designs were the highlight of school supplies for me.  Unicorns and puppies and dolphins and fairies...so many fun things for young girls.  There are four indie polish makers contributing to this box as well as one indie nail decal maker.  Different Dimension is the guest maker for this box!  These polishes are bright and girly and sure to be a huge hit.  Let's take a look at the limited edition polishes offered in the Lisa Frank Box!

I have another pretty Spring collection to share you with you all today.  This is a small collection of 5 polishes from Lavish Polish.  They are all holographic crellies that are sweet and dainty for the season.  I am sure I have said this before on the blog, but Lavish Polish makes some of my favorite crellies.  Their formulas are just divine.  For these photos, I did a little watermarble accent nail using all five colors of the collection.  They watermarbled quite well!  This collection is available right now, so let's take a look!

Awesome Sauce Indie Box: Life in Plastic

The next Awesome Sauce Indie Box launched tonight!  This quarterly box is a themed collection of indie nail polish brands with some extra nail art and bath/body care thrown in.  The regular contributors to the box are Lavish Polish, Ever After Polish, Vapid Lacquer, and Anonymous Lacquer.  They bring in a guest indie maker for each box and for this quarter is Cupcake Polish!  Life in Plastic is the name of this box and it is inspired by Barbie.  All of the extra bits are in the shape of the ponytail Barbie silhouette.  Super fun.

Today, I have the newest Awesome Sauce Indie Box to share with you.  This is a quarterly indie nail polish box that features four regular contributors and one guest maker.  It comes in both a full sized option as well as a mini option (which I think is a great idea).  The theme for this box is Mermaids and it included a bunch of extra goodies that are all mermaid inspired.  The indie makers in this box are Lavish Polish, Ever After Polish, Vapid Lacquer, Anonymous Lacquer and the guest maker Literary Lacquers.  All of these brands are great. I have some delicious sparkly polishes from Lavish Polish to share with you tonight.  Lavish Polish makes some of my favorite crelly polishes.  But Emely sure knows how to make a nice glitter, too!  The Scouts Unite Collection is a 5 piece set of polishes inspired by Sailor Moon.  I am familiar with Sailor Moon but I haven't really watched the show (shame on me), but I still think they polishes match the photos and stories that I have seen/heard about the cartoon.  This collection launch yesterday afternoon so you can go out and buy these polishes now!  Lets get into some swatches :)

Today, I have a fun box of indie polish goodies to share with you.  The Awesome Sauce Indie Box is a quarterly box with polishes from 5 different indie polish makers.  Four of the makers are regulars and the fifth is a guest maker for each box.  In addition to the 5 polishes, there are also two hand/body care items for each box created by one of the makers.  The regular contributors are Lavish Polish, Ever After Polish, Aurora Lacquers and Anonymous Lacquer.  The special quest maker for this quarter's box is Vapid Lacquer.  This summer box is inspired by exotic travel destinations.  Who doesn't love that?  What I think is the coolest option of the Awesome Sauce Box is the ability to get either full sized polishes or mini polishes.  I think this is an excellent option for people that don't want to spend a ton of money to try out new indie brands.  So, let's get into some swatches!

Lavish Polish - Summer 2015 Collection

I hope you all had a happy and safe Independence Day this weekend!  (at least those of you that live in the States)  Mine was pretty lame as I had to work.  So, to start off this lovely week, I have a bright summer collection to share with you.  Lavish Polish has come out with a collection of five summer neons.  I preferred some of these on their own and some of these over a white base.  They are all super bright and actually water marbled quite well.  I am not a professional water marble artist like some ladies in Instragram are.  So if they worked for me...they should work for you!  I did a little water marble accent nail for all of these swatches using all five colors over a white base. Let's get into some summer neons!

Lavish Polish Multichrome Flakie Duo

This is a record.  A blog post every day this week.  Where's my cookie??  :)

I just had to share these amazing flakies with you today.  The metallic multichrome flakie has been a huge hit this year.  We have seen a ton of indie brands use them in clear bases for eye catching toppers and full coverage flakies.  Personally, I love to see these color shifting gems used in creative ways.  Lavish Polish has just released a little duo of color shifting awesomeness that you need to check out.  Emely is having a restock today of these limited edition polishes...so get them while you can!

Both of the polishes in this duo have a black jelly base with a fine holographic shimmer running through it and metallic multichrome flakies of different colors.  I used two coats for these swatches with a glossy top coat and then a matte top coat.  Because duh...MATTE ALL THE FLAKIES!


Here is "Supernova" which has metallic flakies that shift from coppery orange to gold to fuchsia pink.  I used two light sources at different angles to capture all the the color shifts.  This polish is mind blowing and sold out very quickly on it's release last week.  So get your trigger finger ready!

The other polish in this color shifty duo is "Milky Way".  The metallic flakies in this baby shift from bright blue to lime green to gold.  Again, I used the same double light source to capture the entire shift for you.  The glossy macro of this one really shows how cool the flakies look suspended in the jelly base.  Gobsmacked!
