Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Holiday 2018 Collection

Hey there!

Remember me?  I know...I have been MIA for way too long.  But work and traveling got in the way and life was, well, life.  Plus, I was just in a blogging rut.  But I am hoping to get back into the swing of things for a stellar 2019!  So be prepared for a bunch of reviews of older collections in the future as I get through my back log of polishes.

Let's take a look at home new beauties for the holidays from Whimsical Ideas by Pam.  There are some very cute glitters in this collection.  Some can be worn as full manicures and other need undies.  Only one of them screams Christmas but the rest are great for year round wear.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Whimsical Valentines Collection 2018

Hi friends!

It's February!  So that means it is time to break out off the the red and pink polishes.  Valentine's Day is a pretty lame holiday in my opinion.  But it is a nice excuse to get all cutesy with hearts and kisses decorations. Each year, I always see some great new polishes from Whimsical Ideas by Pam for the holiday.  I love Pam's collection because there is a mix of finishes and formulas to choose from.  In this collection, we have glitter toppers, sheers and super bling.  I am sure there will be at least one shade that everyone will like.  The Whimsical Valentines Collection 2018 is available now...so let's take a look!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - The Hallowhimsy Collection 2016

Hello October!

It's the most fun month of the year...October.  Why?  Because it's time for Halloween which is the most fun holiday of the year.  At least in my opinion it is.  What is more fun than dressing up in costumes and scaring people.  And you can wear orange the entire month which is a bonus for me.  I love orange :)  Every year, Pam puts out a super fun Halloween collection and this year is no different.  There are 7 Halloween and fall theme polishes in the Hallowhimsy collection that are sure to be crowd pleasers.  Let's take a look at them all!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam - Summer 2016 Collection

Hello all!

Today, we are taking a look at a new Summer collection from an indie brand that is very nostalgic for me.  Whimsical Ideas by Pam was one of the first indie brands that I bought from as a fledgling nail polish collector.  She had the cutest little bottles and always had really creative polishes.  I always look forward to seeing her new collections even though I haven't ordered from her in a while.  So, I was flattered when Pam asked me to review her new Summer 2016 Collection!  There are six polishes in this collection, all of them are a different finish.  They are available now to order, so let's take a look!

Whimsical Nail Polish Flower Child and Magical Mystery Tour

I am so happy to share some new indie polishes with all of my new readers!

When I first saw that Pam was releasing more whimsies I was pretty upset that the release was during my so called no-buy month... Then I bought a couple. So maybe I'm addicted to nail polish, but who can say no to Whimsical Nail Polish by Pam?

The two I picked out are Flower Child and Magical Mystery Tour (I must have been in a purple mood).

As soon as I opened my package I wondered why in the world I ordered Flower Child. I'm not a huge fan of glitter in creamy bases. The color is gorgeous, but it's inevitable that I won't like it... WRONG. Flower Child is fantastic! The color is sort of a periwinkle blue/lilac purple with shiny pink glitter of various sizes. On the nail this one is soft, feminine, and very, very pretty. Compared to the bright colors I usually wear it's very mellow and neutral. I will definitely be wearing this again! (Is it too early to plan my Easter Sunday mani?)

Formula was nice, I used two coats over Essie Bangle Jangle, I probably didn't need to layer it though I'm sure it could be opaque on its own. As usual with Whimsical polishes the glitter comes right out of the bottle with no fishing. I love it!

Magical Mystery Tour indeed has a magical appearance. It's a semi-sheer dark purple shimmer with various sizes of shiny blue glitter. It's gorgeous and I haven't seen anything like it before. I layered two coats over a thin (and patchy) single coat of Julep Morgan. Magical Mystery Tour would probably be opaque with  four coats or so and it would have a lot more depth than it did layered over an opaque color.

I really don't know which new polish is my favorite, I truly love them both for different reasons. For an impulse buy I made fantastic choices. :)

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Saturday Morning Cartoons Swatch

I'm quite happy with each of the Whimsical Ideas by Pam polishes I own, but I must admit that I was pretty much obsessed with Saturday Morning Cartoons for about two weeks. This polish is probably my all time favorite blue glitter, it might be my all time favorite blue ever. I don't normally wear blue polish. I tend to favor reds, pinks, and oranges. Wearing a polish 5 or 6 times in two weeks is a remarkable obsession.

Saturday Morning Cartoons is a vivid royal blue jelly base packed with glitter. There is silver, red, blue, and green hex glitter, and tiny red and blue glitter. It's a bit sheer but build-able though I prefer it layered over another color. This is one thick coat over one coat of China Glaze Ride The Waves. One single coat, and tons of glitter of all sizes and shapes evenly distributed on the nail you say? What a miracle!

Love love love love love this polish.

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Seuss Swatch and Review!

Although not your typical red, white, and blue polish, Whimsical Ideas by Pam Seuss is actually pretty close to being a patriotic polish. Seuss is a bright blue (Dr. Seuss blue) with large silver hex, smaller red hex, and tiny blue holo glitter. This polish personifies Dr. Seuss. It matches the cover of Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat, or the colors of thing one and thing two. It is most definitely Seuss.

I've already worn this polish three or four times. Two easy coats. The formula is nice and thick with absolutely no digging for glitter (although they sometimes all aggregate together like they did on my thumb nail).

What do you think of Seuss? Do you own it or any of Pam's Wonderful Whimsical creations? I'm a HUGE fan of Pam's polishes, which can be purchased from her facebook page found here. The bottles are cute, the bow is cute, and she has the fastest shipping of any indie I've tried!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Kee Wee Swatch and Review

Today I have a review of yet another indie brand (how I love my indie polishes!). I bought three polishes from Whimsical Ideas by Pam, and they are very unique!

Whimsical Ideas by Pam Kee Wee is a beautiful lime green polish with large silver hex glitter, tiny blue glitter, and a bit of silver microglitter. It's a very pretty combination and I absolutely love the bottle, not to mention the adorable bow (which I removed to use the polish by easily slipping it off, then sliding it back on afterwards).
