I am back from Polish Con and I have to say it was a blast!  It was a little bit different for me this time around because I was working at a booth instead of being a attendee.  so I didn't get to wander around and look at other maker's booths as much as I would have liked to.  But I did get to meet a ton of people as they came up to our table.  Plus, music and food in NYC was awesome as per usual.

You know who had an epic booth?  KBShimmer, that's who.  The new branding looks so cool and sophisticated.  The new holographic logo is perfection.  And the new collection was looking bright and summery amongst the black boxes.  The Wanderlust Collection launched on Friday and at Polish Con.  It is a lovely group of shimmery summer shades that are a welcome departure from typical summer neons.  I am in love!  I hope you are, too.

Lacquester sampling for "Wir Lackieren..."

It is the last day of the month and I needed to fit in a posting about the brand of the month for "Wir Lackieren..."  That is German for " We paint..." :)  This is a year long series hosted by Lotte and Tine where they showcase unused shades of nail polishes in there collection.  There is a brand theme for each month.  For the month of January, they are highlighting the brand Lacquester.  This is a new brand to me as they are based out of The Netherlands and do not ship to the US.  They do have stockists that supply the US and Canada, so there is a way to easily get your hands on their shades.  I got a handful of polishes from Lotte when I visited her in Germany this past fall.  I even got to meet Tine, too!  So I wanted to try and contribute to Wir Lackieren... with them each month.  You can join in, too, if you would like.  For the shades I am showing today, I do not know if they are still available but at least they will give you an idea about what the brand has to offer.  I really liked them and can't wait to get my grubby little hands on more colors.  Let's take a look!

Boy...December has been crazy busy for me.  I am sure you are all in the same boat, too.  The Holidays always seem to creep up quickly.  I just had to share this awesome new collection from KBShimmer with you though.  It is a holiday collection, but these shades are totally awesome for year round wear.  Plus, all of them have holographic bits of fun which are always appreciated.  Let's take a look at the Holo-Day Collection!

Pahlish - This is Holo-ween!

Do you love holos?  Do you love fall colors?  Well then you are going to love this collection from Pahlish.   They always to great holographic shades during the Halloween season (2015 and 2016) but they are great for the entire fall and winter season.  The polish names in this collection are all based on the ever awesome Nightmare Before Christmas movie.  This set of 8 new shades is limited edition and I am a little behind in getting them out to you.  So we had better get right into the swatches, right?

On this fine Tuesday, I am joined by Lotte from Marzipany to look at Takko Lacquer's latest contribution to the Holo Hookup Box.  This was from the September 2017 box last month, so it is not available for purchase anymore.  But you can definitely find it in a destash if you are interested in it.  Tako Lacquer has participated in the Holo Hookup box in the past...hopefully we will see more takkitos in future boxes!

I have some crazy fantastic news.  Crazy news!  I feel like I have unlocked the best blogger achievement ever.  I have collaborated with KBShimmer to create a polish for the Fall 2017 Collection.  What the what?!?!?

KBShimmer is the biggest and best known indie polish maker in the business (at least I think so).  I was unbelievably excited to be added to their regular blogger list 2 years ago.  But being asked to create a new shade of nail polish with them is like beyond amazing.  I really hope you love "Pearls Gone Wild" as much as I do.  Squeeee!!!

Today, I have another shiny shade from the Takko Lacquer Metallics in Poetry Trio.  This metallic/holographic trio was just recently released with the Late Summer Collection.  There is a gold, a silver and a rose shade.  "All My Stars" is the rose gold version of the metallic holographic finish.  She's a beaut!

How awesome was that eclipse?!?  It was a truly amazing experience for me and I hope that you will all get to witness a total eclipse in person once in your life.  I spent the day staring at the sun, so what better polish to share with you today than "My Sun" by Takko Lacquer?   This is one of the brand new polishes being released for preorder this week.  The Metallics in Poetry Trio is three holographic metallic shades that go perfectly together.  There is a gold, a silver and a rose metallic in the trio.  Today, we are going to look closer at the gold offering.  Sneak peek of the trio at the end of this post.

I can't believe summer is practically over!  I also can't believe how long it has taken me to get this review out to you all.  The newest collection from KBShimmer is amazing!  They have created a brand new finish called Holo Glow Flake.  It is slightly metallic, super shimmery and packed with soft holographic flakies.  These polishes to have a certain glow-from-within quality to them.  The Summer Vacation Collection has a wide range of bright colors perfect for summer and will make you not want to go back to school.  Let's take a look!

It's Thursday...that means it is time to look at next week's exclusive shades for the Road to Polish Con series!   For Week 3, we have special polishes from three indie brands that will be attending The Polish Convention this fall in Chicago.  We will have shades from KBShimmer, Lollipop Posse Lacquer and Darling Diva Polish available starting on Sunday.  Right now, you can still get Week 2 polishes up until Saturday.  I heard that Week 1 polishes have already started shipping out if you opted to have then shipped each week.  You also have the option to have all of the Road to Polish Con polishes shipped in one package at the end to save on shipping costs.  I think that is a fantastic feature!  Are you ready to see what is coming up for Week 3?

Ellagee - Game of Theories Collection

I have yet another fun little quad to share with you today.  This collection from Ellagee is not new but I have wanted to share all of her Game of Thrones inspired collections on the blog.  You can check out the other two collections I have reviewed here and here.  I am desperately awaiting GoT season 7 to drop (which is less than 2 months away!) and am currently reading A Dance of Dragons right now.  So the world of George R. R. Martin is in the forefront of my brain right now.  The Ellagee Game of Theories Collection is inspired by popular fan theories of the stories.  If you know the stories by heart, you will likely recognize these theories.  If you have never even heard of the books or the show (that is a pretty heavy rock you must be under), you will still love these shimmery, ethereal holographic polishes.  It's a win-win!

Top Shelf Lacquer - Cocktail Fun Holo'd Collection

What better way to celebrate Friday than with a little cocktail fun?  I have a fun little collection of shifty holographic polishes from Top Shelf Lacquer to share with you today.  There are four multichrome metallic shifters in this quad that all have a nice linear holographic effect.  They released these polish both with and without the holographic effect.  So if you are interested in a non-holo version, that is available, too.  Since we want to see that awesome shift, I am including photos with both direct lighting and my duo lighting set up to catch that color shift.  Let's take a look!

Gradient Nails for the #31DC2017Weekly

Just a few days late on my manicure for the weekly challenge, but hey, that's why the weekly version is great.  You have all week to complete it!  For the gradient prompt, I knew I wanted to try my hand at another scaled gradient but changed my mind at the last minute and did more of a reciprocal gradient.  If you want to know more about the different types or gradients, check out SimplyNailLogical's guide.  I am happy with how they turned out but I think the traditional scaled gradient with the colors going the same direction would have been better.  Oh well!  Still looks cool. :)

KBShimmer - Nauti by Nature Holos

Today, I am sharing with you the gorgeous new holos from KBShimmer!   The Nauti by Nature Collection for spring has 6 new linear holographic shades and six new crelly/jelly/shimmer shades.  The holos look so great, I wanted to share them in their own.  (Plus, I am on vacation and went to upload all the photos from this collection and realized I missed swatching one polish...oops!  So I will share the second half of the collection once I get back in town.)  The formulas are amazing and the rainbows are flying off the nails with these polishes.  Let's take a look!

Nine Zero Lacquer - Extreme Weather Collection

I hope you are all having fun day this fine green beer filled Friday!  Today, I wanted to share with you a lovely rainbow jellies that are brand new from Nine Zero Lacquer.  The Extreme Weather Collection consists of 6 bright, colorful jelly polishes all with that great soft scattered holographic microflakies.  These flakies have certainly been on trend the past few months and I am not complaining.  I prefer them to straight linear holos.  (don't hate me!)  Let's take a look at these beauties!

Takko Tuesday! - Peridot

I have yet another stunning scattered holographic shade from Takko Lacquer to share with you all today!  "Peridot" is an absolutely gorgeous bright lemon-lime green jelly with a nice deep green shimmer and soft scattered holographic microflakies.  This color totally reminds me to peridot gems; the color is spot on.  The formula was nice a squishy, too.  The jelly base allows those flakies to really pop.  I am showing you three coats here with a glossy top coat.
