I am still a week behind with the #31DC2018Weekly. But I really, really like what I created for the Rainbow Nails prompt! I tried out a new to me nail art technique and I just love it. It's called fluid nail art and has become very popular with the release of Sinful Colors HypnoticTransforming Top Coats. I never saw these top coats in the stores around me. But when I saw the cool nail art people were doing with them, I snatched up a set on Ebay. I have used similar polishes like these in the past. OPI's Black Spotted and Takko Lacquer's Pandamonium are the ones I have tried. They were both black. The colors of the Sinful Colors polishes are awesome! I am so happy with the results playing with these polishes for the first time. I can't wait to do more!

Hiya!

Inspired by a Flag for the #31DC2017Weekly
Saturday, September 16, 2017
Hi all!!
I am officially caught up with the #31DC2017Weekly now! Tomorrow's post will be right on track. Last year, for the inspired by a flag prompt, I did a flag for Iceland right before I went on vacation there. I am going to do the same thing this year. Next week, I am heading to Europe for a vacation. I am starting off in Copenhagen for a conference then then meeting my German polish sister, Lotte, in Germany! Yay!!! I can't wait to meet my little international polish pen pal that has become a true friend. :) So I am inspired by the German flag today. My nail are not a direct representation of the actual German flag but I was inspired by the colors of the flag: black, red and yellow.

Metallic Nails for the #31DC2016Weekly
Saturday, April 23, 2016
Hi all!
Happy Saturday, time for the next prompt in the weekly version of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge. This week, the theme is metallic nails. My most favorite metallic trend lately has been rose gold. It's feminine and chic and I dig it. I recently saw the Sinful Shine King Kylie display at Walmart and had to get this pretty little metallic polish, "Kreme De La Kreme", and had to get it. It is a deeper rose gold color that leans a little more on the copper side than on the gold side. I used this color as the base of my mani.
Next, I placed swirly nail vinyls from Whats Up Nails randomly on the edges of the nails. I covered it with a thick coat of P2 Cosmetics "Winding Fjord" and pulled off the vinyls while it was still wet. This is a beautiful deep teal creme from the Brave and Beautiful Collection. I topped it all off with a glossy top coat.
I just had to see what this looked like with a matte top coat, too. I just love a matte mani! I really liked it both ways, glossy and matte. Which do you like better?

I really, really liked how this came out. And these vinyls were way fun. I haven't used these swirly patterns before. Whats Up Nails has a ton of different designs to choose from so they will have something for everyone. Also, be sure to check out the #31DC2016Weekly tag on your favorite social media platform: Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I am loving seeing everyone's nail art each week!
Many thanks!

SinfulColors - A Class Act Collection, Play It Cool picks
Wednesday, September 2, 2015
Hello all!
I have more swatches and nail art for you today using some colors from the SinfulColors, a Class Act Collection. A subset of this back to school collection is the Play It Cool set. This is a set of bold colored cremes and a few shimmers. I chose three of the bold and bright cremes to play with. All of these colors have been previously released and are part of the core line (as far as I know). SinfulColors likes to repromote colors from their core line into new releases displays. If the shades fit the new collection, why not add it!
I used three of the bright shades to create a simple nail art look with tape! First I painted on the base color of "Energetic Red". Then I used blue painter's tape to block off the top half of my nail and painted "Feel the Vibe" on the bottom half. I then used the painter's tape again to block off the tip of my nail and painted on "24/7". I did use a quick dry top coat between each layer (because I a lazy and I don't want to wait for polish to dry). Man! I really like this look!
Lastly, we have "24/7" which is a bright Barbie pink creme. This is a classeic SinfulColors polish! This shade of pink is a staple in any girls polish stash. The formula was similar to "Feel the Vibe" and I needed three coats to even everything out and topped it with a glossy top coat.
The SinfulColors, A Class Act collection is available now from Walgreens and other retailers. I have personally seen the Play It Cool display at my local Wallgreens already. Each of these retail for only $1.99! At that price...how could you not snag them all?I used three of the bright shades to create a simple nail art look with tape! Let's take a look at each of these shades individual. First up is the base color, "Energetic Red". This is a creamy and bright tomato red. The formula was quite good. I did two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. I got flashes of my visible nail line at time, so a third coat might be needed for those of you with longer nails. I think this polish needs to go in with the comparison I plan on doing with some butterLONDON colors.
Next up, is "Feel the Vibe" which is a lovely orange creme. I like the warm undertones of this polish. The formula a little crelly like. I thought it would have been much more opaque than it was. I needed to use three coats to level everything out. But it was worth it because, duh, orange!

SinfulColors - A Class Act Collection, 3D glitter toppers
Saturday, August 29, 2015
Good evening!
I have a few new iridescent glitter toppers from SinfulColors to share with you all tonight. These polishes are part of the A Class Act Collection and found in the All Nighter display. I chose two of the three limited edition toppers to review. Both of these had a tinted base but were not made to be opaque on their own. I wanted to show you the difference of both of them over a dark color and a light color. SinfulColors describes them as 3D Glitter Toppers, likely because of the iridescence that give them a lot of depth. Let's take a look!
"Late Night Haute" has a blue/teal jelly base and is packed with blue/green iridescent shreds and bar glitter with tiny shifty microglitters sprinkled in. I used one coat over black and a minty blue. The shreds can be difficult and some will stickup if you aren't careful. I used a thick coat of glossy top coat to smooth it all out.
The SinfulColors, A Class Act collection is available now from Walgreens and other retailers. I have personally seen the All Nighter display at my local Wallgreens already. According to the SinfulColors website, Sinful Sunrise (pink) and Night Owl (purple) are exclusive to Walgreens. Each of these retail for only $1.99! The look to be limited edition, so grab them up if you see them.

"Sinful Sunrise" has a light pink tinted jelly base with a nice mix of pink/yellow iridescent hexes and shreds. There were a few bars in there but they were sparse. I used one coat over black and a baby pink creme. Again, the shreds can be bumpy and stick up so be careful with application. I smoothed it all out with a glossy top coat. I think this one was my favorite of the two.

SinfulColors - A Class Act, Chalkboard Diaries picks
Friday, August 14, 2015
Hello friends!
Tonight, I have three shades from the new SinfulColors, A Class Act collection. Just in time for the back to school rush, SinfulColors has released a set of 9 colors in a demi-matte finish. There are classic black and white as well as a variety of pastel chalk shades. I have three of the colors to share with you today as well as some fun, super easy nail art.

There are classic black and white as well as a variety of pastel chalk shades. I have three of the colors to share with you today as well as some fun, super easy nail art.
"V.I.Peach" is a pastel yellow with the slightest peachy undertone. This dries to a semi-matte finish. It is not super matte and chalky like I thought it would be. I used three coats alone for this swatch, no base coat or top coat. Just like most yellow polishes, this was a little streaky.
"Pink Break" is a pastel pink that also has a little bit of a peachy undertone. The formula for this one was exactly like V.I.Peach, a little streaky. It dries to a soft, semi-matte finish. Not completely matte but not exactly satin. Matte rubber finish? The color is great though. I did three coats on the bare nail with no tap coat.
"Hazed" is a deep pink hued purple shade. The formula on this was a little different. The base had more of a jelly/crelly consistency which allowed it to self-level much better than the other two. It dried a little more textured than the other two as well. It may just be more noticeable because of the darker color. I used three coats on the bare nail without a top coat here. And I didn't have any problems with staining.
And now for some nail art! I did a little floral dotticure using "Hazed" as my base and "V.I.Peach" and "Pink Break" for the flowers and dots. I used a medium sized dotting tool to create the flowers and a tiny dotting tool for the little polka dots. I did not use a top coat for this look.
The SinfulColors, A Class Act collection is available now from Walgreens and other retailers. I have personally seen the Chalkboard Diaries display at my local Wallgreens already. According to the SinfulColors website, Pink Break as well as Blackboard and Whiteboard are exclusive to Walgreens. Each of these retail for only $1.99! Such a steal!

Sinful Colors Swatches
Thursday, March 22, 2012
Today I have two Sinful Colors lacquers for you. Two unique shades in my collection
First is Let's Talk from their new Color Block Collection. This one is IMPOSSIBLE to capture in photos! It's blue, and it's purple, but it's actually some crazy radioactive shade in between the two! What an amazing color! In dark light it's a deep vivid purple. In sunlight or bright fluorescent Let's Talk turns into this amazing radioactive blue. It. Just. Glows!
Most color accurate: (Incandescent light)
Crazy blue! (Fluorescent light)
Indoors (with flash)
And that purple! (This was literally taken two seconds after the color accurate photo.
Next is Tokyo Pearl, a sheer, shiny, pearly white. Application was streaky (as most pearls are) and I unfortunately had some bad problems with bubbling (see second picture below).
