What better way to start this fine month then with a Takko Tuesday? Today, I am sharing and older Takko Lacquer shade with you all. As you know, I am a sucker for orange/coral polishes. I just gravitate towards them. "Strangely Delicious: RVMP" hits all the right buttons for me. It's bright. It's orange. It's got dat shimma! So, of course I love it. Takko Lacquer does such a good job with orange/coral shades. This color originally was released in the beginning of Takko's life and had more of a metallic finish. The next year, Sheryl revamped the formula and came up with what you see here today. I do not have the original formula to compare for you, just this revamped version. If you would like to see both polishes, Polish Monster has a good comparison. The revamped version has a bright orange crelly base that is packed with a bright green microflakie shimmer. It is a little bit on the sheer side, so three coats was needed to fully cover my visible nail line. The green shimmer peeks out nicely in real life. I don't know if my photos captured it as perfectly as I would have liked. But hopefully you can still see all the shimmery goodness there.
Now that Takko Lacquer is being stocked at a few stockists with international shipping, we may see Sheryl bust out of batches of older shades. I think that would be awesome if it happened...as I am sure you would, too. Which older Takkitos are you still trying to get your hands on?
