Butter London Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons with Polish

Good day to you!

I have something a little different for you all. Today, I am branching into the Etc part of PolishEtc.  Being a nail polish blogger, I am exposed to all sorts of other beauty products.  I have quite a collection of lippies and eye shadow palates because of watching beauty videos on YouTube and reading other beauty blogs.  At the beginning of this year, I decided I was going to start wearing lip stick.  Because...why not!  I have been loving it and get a lot of comments (mostly good) on my lip shades.  So, as you can imagine, I was super excited when Butter London sent these beautiful new lip products to try out.  I am not a make up blogger, so I don't have the fancy set up for photographing my face.  And quite frankly, I'm not all that comfortable with flashing my mug around yet.  So...you get you see arm swatches and some corresponding nail polish colors!

Let me just get some general info out of the way.  All of these lip crayons are very easy to apply.  They have a consistency between a cream lip stick and a gloss.  They have a glossy look after you put them on.  I have been wearing them frequently and they are lasting until lunch time.  Inside the cap, there is a built in crayon sharpener which is super handy.  These Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons all have a minty vanilla scent.  I quite liked it but some people might not like a scented lip product.  I don't have any other Butter London lip products, so I do not know if this is a typical scent they use for other products.  Each of the Lip Crayon shade matches with a classic Butter London Nail Lacquer shade.  I had four of these polishes in my stash already.  So I decided to show how well these shades match up with each other.  Two of the polishes were provided to me by Butter London and two were purchased by me.

"Trout Pout" is a CLASSIC Butter London shade.  It is a beautiful peachy pink coral.  The nail polish is an absolute love of mine and the lippy is a perfect compliment.  Its bright and bold and summery.  You just can't go wrong with coral.  I used two coats of polish with a glossy top coat.

"Toff" is a deep mauve rose color.  Some people may call this a "grandma color" but I call that a lie!  I love dark neutrals like this.  The polish is super creamy and applies great in 2 coats.  The lip color is a very popular color for a darker mauve look.  I have worn this shade on my lips and my nails for a date night and was loving it.

"Primrose Hill Picnic" is a bright magenta pink.  I have a little mini of this polish.  It has a little bit of a squishy crelly like quality (which I adore) but is still opaque in two coats.  The lip crayon is so bright and fun!  I have actually worn this out to the grocery store but have yet to wear it "in my real life" because it is so bright.  I will get my nerve up, I promise!

"Ladybird" is an orange leaning classic red color.  This polish also had a little bit of a squishy quality to it.  It made my nails look like candy with a glossy top coat.  The lip color is the it color of the summer.  You have to get this bright orange red on your lips and feel like a movie star.  Love it!

Here are all eight of the colors.  The range is great and has something for everyone. I have been wearing "Teddy Boy" the most and "Disco Biscuit" second.  I am a fan!

You can get these Bloody Brilliant Lip Crayons wherever you can buy other Butter London products.  I get all of my Butter Londons from Ulta but they have shipping directly from their website.  These lippies retail for $20.  Let me know if you give them a try.  I know that I am loving mine!

Smooches!
