Oh. My. Goodness. Today's takkito is a super stunner. I have another brand new Takko Lacquer shade to share with you all. It is just so shifty and interesting that I fear my photos don't to it justice. Hopefully, you will be able to see the beauty in this polish from my measly 2D showcase. "Cactus Rose" really needs to be seen in person. It is a sort of dusty forest green jelly with an insane shimmer that shifts from green to gold to pink to fuchsia. It is murky but beautiful. It is dull but interesting. It is magical but actually real. I have a bunch of photos to follow, so please click through to look at the different dimensions of awesome.
First, this is two coats of Cactus Rose with a glossy top coat. The formula was awesome and applied like butter. I was very happy with two coats. These first two photos are taken under the direct light of my Ottlite. It really picks up the bright pink of the shifty shimmer with looks awesome against the dark green jelly base.
I think this macro under the single direct lighting it the most accurate of what you would see on your nails most of the time. A darker green tinted base with a pink and gold shimmer that is shifting all the time at all angles. Gorgeous!
This macro and the the very first photo were taken using two separate lights coming from different angles to show both color shifts at the same time. Do you see why this is so hard to photograph? It is such a chameleon.
I'm in love. I hope you are in love, too. This beauty is going to be released on May 27th from the Takko Lacquer online store. Sheryl is doing something a little different this time. At 8:30pm EDT, the shop will be open for pre-orders for an hour. You can order what ever you would like and it will be made and shipped out in 2-3 weeks. Hopefully, this will allow everyone that wants to order a chance to order and not have to miss out. After the pre-order, there will be a regular stocking as well at products sent to the stockists for purchase. If you happen to be in the NYC area on May 20th, you can see these babies in person at the Renegade Arts Fair. If you need more info, follow Takko Lacquer on their social media for updates.
