For the first Takko Tuesday of the year, we are going to look at a new creme shade. Which means you are also going to get a little easy nail art, too. Takko Lacquer released a nice selection of creme shades this past fall. The creme polishes are all part of an ongoing collection called Curiosities and Exquisites. It has creme polishes and toppers that will be around all year. "Provocateur" is one of them! It is a deep mulberry red with a hint of grey. The saturation on this shade is more muted and perfect for the colder months. Work appropriate and sophisticated. The formula was nice as well. It wasn't a one coater but still applied like a dream in two coats. I have topped it with a glossy top coat in these photo because the vegan, vitamin E infused base that Takko uses tends to dry a little dull.
To spice the plain creme shade up, I added a quick and easy sideways french. I used french tip guides but placed them along the side of my nail instead of the tip. Then I added a swipe of Takko Lacquer's Full Metal and removed the tip guide. I added another coat of top coat for good measure. I like the sideways french, its different but still looks neat.
This newer creme shade is available now from the Takko Lacquer site along with some of the other creme colors. I am not sure when the fall collection will be restocked or when a new collection is launching. I guess you will just have to stay tuned to this channel and I will update you when I find out :)
