More new takkitos are coming!  This Friday, Takko Lacquer will be releasing the new Gems and Crystals collection along with a few new cremes.  The Gems and Crystals collection is a set of delightful polishes with holographic microflakies and fun shimmers.  Today, we are taking a look at "Sapphire" which, of course, is the blue one.  It is not a typical deep jewel toned blue though.  The base of polish is more of a cornflower blue but maybe a little brighter with a hint of green in it. The base is a jelly, so it is a little on the sheer side.  This jelly is packed with those lovely soft scattered holographic microflakies that we all love along with a intense pink shimmer.  I am showing you three coats with a glossy top coat here.  The shimmer in this polish really makes it stand out from the others in the collection.

It's that time of year again!  Last year, I decided to change the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge into a weekly version to make is easier for me to complete.  It turned out great.  I was able to get all of the challenge prompts done and was still able to share other content with you all.  Since last year's was a success, I wanted to continue with the weekly version this year, too.

Traditionally, the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge starts on September 1st and ends on October 1st.  I am going to start the weekly version of the challenge on March 5th.  This will have it end on October first right when the daily challenge will end.  I will be posting each Sunday with a new nail art look following the traditional prompts.  Since this is a weekly challenge, you can post at anytime during the week that you want.  If you fall behind, it will be very easy to catch up since it will be going on for so long.  You can post on your blog, on your IG, on your Twitter or on your Facebook.  You can post anywhere!  Just use the tag #31DC2017Weekly so we will all be able to see your lovely nail art looks.

Something else new this year, I have a co-host!  Most of you will know my lovely German friend, Lotte, for her joining in on Takko Tuesday here and there.  She is going to be doing the challenge with me this year and I hope you will all check out her nail art looks on her blog and IG.  I hope you will love her as much as I do :)

Glisten and Glow - Oh, The Places You'll Go Collection

Today, I  have a fun little collection of cremes and shimmer toppers to share with you all from Glisten and Glow.  This collection is inspired by the Dr. Seuss book 'Oh, The Places You'll Go' which is something many of us got as a graduation gift because it is inspiring and encouraging.  The cremes in this collection match the book's color palette perfectly!  Glisten and Glow is known not only for their amazing top coat but they do amazing cremes and holos as well.  Along with this collection, G&G has released a new matte top coat.  And it is great!  I will be showing you all of the manicures in both glossy and matte versions using Glisten and Glow's top coats.  Let's take a look!

Lollipop Posse Lacquer - Women of Words Collection

I have a very colorful and sparkly little collection from Lollipop Posse Lacquer to share with you all today.  The Women of Words Collection has just recently released and is what we need to get out of that winter blues.  It is full of bright, saturated colors.  There are 5 colors in this collection all with the same finish.  They are holographic but also have some additional shimmer and sparkle added in.  The formula were great across the board.  Nice and smooth with just two coats needed for full opacity.  Let's take a look at these beauties!

I am still waiting for more polishes from the up coming Gems and Crystals collection to arrive.  The collection launch has been pushed back to March 3rd.  As soon as I have the rest of the new shades I will share them!  So for now, let's take a look at an oldie but a goodie from the Takko Lacquer vault.  "Va Va Voom" was originally released in the Winter 2012 Collection (holy cow that was a long time ago) but is still just as lovely today as it was then.  This is a rusty red metallic base with a sprinkling of scattered holographic shimmer.  The base has slight duochrome effect looking more orange at some angles and more red at others.  I don't think I have another polish quite like this.  The formula was quite nice, too.  It was slightly sheer on the first coat but was nice and opaque on the second coat.  I am showing you two coats here with a glossy top coat.

Takko Tuesday! - Amethyst

I have another new takkito to share with you all today!  Later this month, Takko Lacquer will be releasing a new collection called Gems and Crystals.  With any collection of gems, you know there has to be an amethyst included!  Everyone loves this sparkly purple gem.  "Amethyst" is another Takko Lacquer shade utilizing the soft scattered holographic flakies that I just love.  The base is a medium purple jelly, not to warm and not too cool toned.  It is packed with these lovely silver holo flakies that lay nice and flat and are easy to remove.  The finish is very similar to Zoya's scattered holos.  If you know those shades well, it is slightly cooler toned than Aurora but not as blue toned as Finely.  Which means you probably need all three in your life. :)

Candy Lacquer - Twilight Zone Collection

I have so shifty little polishes to share with you all!  Candy Lacquer has recently released a collection of multichrome holographic polishes inspired by the classic TV show, The Twilight Zone.  Each of these shades look different in the bottle, different in the shade, different in the sun, different depending on the angle of the light.  They look different all the time!  Which is what makes them so much fun to wear!  (maybe not so much fun to photograph)  I have a ton of photos for you.  I tried to show off all of the different looks each of these polishes has.  Let's get shifty!

I have another brand spanking new takkito to share with you all today!  And this one might be one of my top five fave Takko Lacquer polishes ever.  No lie.  Last week, I shared with you three new shades from the Gems and Crystals Collection that was exclusive to Color4Nails.  This week, I am sharing another polish from the Gems and Crystals Collection.  But this polish will be released from the Takko Lacquer site along with the rest of the collection later this month.  "Moonstone" is an almost white but more of a soft, light grey jelly with a gorgeous ethereal mix of silver holographic microflakies and bright blue/purple shimmer.  Yo!  This ish is beautiful!  I might be a little biased because I love Takkos and I love grey polish but I am in freaking love with this shade.  Aren't you?

Pahlish - Life Aquatic Collection

I have been battling strep throat most of the week and am finally feeling like a normal human again.  So let's start the week off with a shiny collection from Pahlish.  The Life Aquatic Collection is a group of 6 polishes with the same finish just in different colors.  The finish is a bright, shiny foil flake metallic.  Like super shiny!  I didn't include macro shots in this post because the polishes wee just so shiny that they made my macro lens freak out.  There is no glitter in these shades so application and removal is easy.  To not repeat myself a bunch of times, all of these swatches are with two coats and a glossy top coat.  I will let you know if there were any deviations from the norm in the individual descriptions.  These babies are available now, so let's take a look!
