Loaded Lacquer - Hula Girl Collection

Happy Monday!

Today I have another collection from one of my favorite indie brands, Load Lacquer.  Heather makes amazing glitters and now she has a few epic shimmers to add to the list of awesomeness.  There are five polishes in this mix and they are all stunners.  The name of this collection is called Hula Girl and it definitely evokes the feeling of summer and tropical vacations.  Enjoy!

First up is Tiki Torched.  I love grey polish and this one is even more special because it has an awesome pink/red shimmer.   I think this is a great neutral shade with a little added kick.  I used two coats with a top coat for this swatch.

I had to pair my favorite glitter, Dashboard Dancing, with this interesting neutral.  I have shown Dashboard Dancing in a few jelly sandwiches previously (here) but in this mani I used it for a glitter gradient.

Now let's see that glitter up close and personal.  Just look at all those sparkling glitters of turquoise, magenta and purple!  I love it!

How about that same pink/red shimmer in a bright orange neon?!?  Here is Get Lei'd and it glows!  I can't wait to wear this polish on my toes for a trip to the beach.  It just screams summer, doesn't it?  I used 2 coats with a top coat for this swatch.

See all that glow from within pinky shimmer!

Next up is the last of the three shimmers in this collection, Paradise Overdose.  This has a deep blurple base with gorgeous pink, purple and turquoise shimmer.  There is a little duochrome shiftiness to this polish, especially in the sunlight.  Again, I used two coats with a top coat.

Don't you love shifty shimmers macros?  I do!

Lastly is the flakie of the bunch, Tropical Moment.  This polish is a chameleon!  The base is a sheer pink that can be built up to opacity with two coats (like in these photos).  But it can also be used over other colors for amazing gold and pink flakie effects.  I love seeing all the combinations people are trying on Instagram.

I enjoyed using Tropical Moment over a dark color.  Here I used one coat over Paradise Overdose.  The flakies really stand out over this dark purple base.

To make those delicious flakies stand out even more, I added a matte top coat.  You can make out all the individual flakes of gold and pink and even a little blue.  The macro is truly awesome!

I love everyone one of the polishes in this collection.  Heather did an amazing job on them.  My top picks would be Dashboard Dancing and Tiki Torched.   Which ones will you be picking up?

You can find all of these polishes on the Loaded Lacquer site.  The entire collection goes for $45 or you can buy them individually for $10.  Heather is having a restock today at 6pm CST.  Don't worry if you miss out today, she will keep pumping out these polishes all summer.

Smooches!
