Pahlish - The Cake is a Lie Collection

Happy Sunday!

There is a nice little collection from Pahlish releasing tonight that I want to share with you.  This five piece collection is inspired by the game Portal.  If you have played this game, then you will chuckle at some of these polish names.  These are all flakie and shimmer filled jelly polishes in jewel toned colors.  Head over to the Pahlish store tonight at 7pm CST to pick up these beauties.  Let's take a look!

"Intelligence Dampening Sphere" is a deep cobalt blue jelly with a mix of holographic flakies, purple ultrachrome flakies and a pinky/purple shimmer.  This had a nice formula and easy application.  One of the more opaque jellies in the collection and I only need two coats for good opacity.  The flakies and shimmer are not a visible in this darker base as they are in the others in the collection.  But still a very pretty blue.

"Combustible Lemon II" is a dark red/orange jelly sprinkled with gold flakies, copper ultrachrome flakies and some fine holographic microshimmer.  This shade is the most jelly of them all and the most sheer.  I did two coats for this swatch and was happy with the opacity.  But if your nails are longer than mine, you might want to do a third coat.  The extra bits in this polish seem a little more sparse than the others but that might be an illusion from the lower opacity.  Application was still great, though.

"Maybe Black Mesa" is a very dark navy blurple jelly with a nice mix of small purple, fuchsia and holographic flakies.  With the darker base, the flakies trapped in the jelly give is a 'glow from within' quality.   It has a great formula and opaque in just two coats.  Very nice!

"Married (to Science)" is a berry purple jelly with pink and holographich flakies and a sprinkling of orange iridescent glitters.  The formula on this shade was a little on the sheer side but more opaque than Combustible Lemon II.  I do think the little iridescent glitters are the perfect addition to this polish.  I did two thicker coats here but you may want to try three thinner coats for better opacity.

"Dangerous Mute Lunatic" is a deep teal green jelly packed with gold flakies, tiny green iridescent glitters and holographic microshimmer.  To me, this polish had the most interesting glitter/flakie effect of the bunch.  Formula was very nice and I only needed two coats for nice opacity.  The gold flakies are the most prominent in this shade than in any of the others.  Beautiful!

Pretty colors, right?  My fave is Dangerous Mute Lunatic but Maybe Black Mesa is a close second.  Are you picking up any of these jellies today?  This collection will go live at 7pm CST.  You can get each polish individually for $11 or the whole set of 5 for $50.
