Pahlish - Patisserie de Pahlish Collection

Hello all!

I have a quaint little collection of cremes and toppers from Pahlish to share with you on this fine Monday.  Each month, Pahlish releases a nice collection.  I don't know how Shannon does it, but she is always creating new and interesting shades at a lightening pace.  This month, we are graced with 5 new cremes and two flakie toppers.  They aren't your typical spring pastels.  They are a little more grungy and I kinda like it!  Like spring pastels mixed with the dirty grey snow still piled up in the parking lots.  Haha!  Okay, that doesn't sound very pretty but hopefully you will see where my mind went once you see these polishes.  I really like them and I hope you will, too.  Let's take a look!

"Menthe Glaciale" is a blue leaning teal creme.  This color is almost what I would call a Caribbean blue or glacier blue.  It's bright but not neon.  On my iPhone screen, this looks more green tinged and closer to real life.  On my laptop screen it looks more blue.  Le sigh.  Either way, it's a gorgeous color and the formula was nice.  Two easy coats with a glossy top coat.

"Cassis Violette" is a taupe creme with a slight purple tinge.  Greige?  Is that what your would call it?  This color is my kind of color!  Neutral and grey toned.  I have been totally digging grayed out purples this year.  The formula was okay on this one.  I did two thicker coats here with a glossy top coat but it may have evened out better if I did three thinner coats.

"Petale de Rose" is a pink toned orchid creme.  This is another one of the brighter shades in this collection.  I had a little bit of a difficult time with this formula though.  I had to be very careful or else it didn't apply evenly.  But once it did, the color was awesome. This is three coats with a glossy top coat here.  I did have a little bit of red/pink pigment specks in my bottle as well.

"Griotte Amande" is a deep mauve/raisin creme.  Some people may say this is a grandma shade but it looks so lovely on the nail.  The formula was very nice and I only need to two coats for nice opacity.  This is a nice color for fall and for the work environment.

"Pistache" is a dusty pistachio green creme.  This color has a little grey and a little yellow in the green base.  It is a total ugly-pretty shade and I love it!  I would wear this color year round.  For this swatch, I did two thicker coats with a glossy top coat.

"Guimauve a la Framboise" is one of the flakie toppers in this collection.  It is a nice mix of copper and bronze ultrachrome metallic flakies and a pink glassfleck shimmer flake.  I used one coat over Menthe Glaciale.  It would also look awesome over Griotte Amande.  You can two two coats for a more dense looking flakie topper.

"Guimave a la Violette" is the other flakie topper in the collection.  This is a very pretty mix of reflective real silver flakies, purple ultrachrome flakies and a violet glassfleck shimmer.  This gives a nice purple tint to the base color you put it over.  I used one coat over Cassis Violette for this swatch.

  1. You know how I love the mix of cremes and flakies. :) Gorgeous colors! And I know what you mean with dirty snow and flowers. But Snow? You have still snow?

    Love, Lotte

    1. I don't have snow here in Florida but up north they are still getting snow. It's sort of like a second winter.
