Tonight, I have a fun collection to share with you. Lucky 13 Lacquer is a new indie brand to me and I am a fan now! The Fury Road Collection is inspired by the latest Mad Max movie, Fury Road. There are 8 polishes in this collection and they are all different. One of the polishes is limited edition and will only be available during the month of November. Fun colors and lovely formulas...let's take a looksie!
"Witness Me" is a charcoal grey creme packed with silver and iridescent blue shimmer. You know I love grey polish and dat shimma, so I was infatuated with this one. The shimmer was very interesting, especially up close. The formula was smooth and opaque in 2 coats. Glossy top coat used.
"I Live, I Die, I Live Again" is a brick red jelly with a light sprinkling of holographic silver micro shreds. I used two coats for this swatch and you can sort of still see my visible nail line. I really like the ratio of shreds to base here. Not too much, not too little. And the shreds to stick up and get all in the way. They stayed flat. Glossy top coat made it very shiny.
"Valkyrie" is a light nude polish with linear holographic shimmer and a flash of shifty pink shimmer. This is work appropriate with a twist! I really dig the pink flash in this polish. You can see it peeking through on the macro. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for these swatches. Perfect!
"Die Historic on the Fury Road" is a bright blue thermal polish, the only thermal in this collection. The crelly base is super opaque with cobalt blue color when cold and true bright blue color when warm. The glitter mix of black, gold and copper contrast nicely with the blue. I am showing you two coats with a top coat in transition from warm to cold at my tips.
"Ride Eternal, Shiny and Chrome" is a silver holographic glitter bomb. The glitters are all very small in this polish and dense. I used two coats and a glossy top coat for these swatches. It is listed as a topper that is fully opaque in 3-4 coats but mine was opaque in just two. I didn't try this as a topper because it was just so pretty as a stand alone polish.
"Kamakrazee War Boys" is a bright medium purple crelly packed with microshimmer and shreds. There are the same silver holo shreds in this polish like in " I Live, I Die, I Live Again" but there is added bright blue and pink shimmer. Because the base is less jelly, the shreds/shimmer can give it a little bit of a rougher finish. It is slight but you can see the difference in the macro. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for these swatches.
"Oh, What a Lovely Day!" is a dense microflakie polish with gold, orange and pink flakies. This polish really shines and has a metallic look. It is a perfect fall shade! Orange and gold is my jam. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for this swatch. The site says this looks great over a darker color as a topper. I will need to try that, but for now, orange!
"Glory Awaits in Fallhalla" is the limited edition polish. The base is a blackened teal jelly and it's packed with holographic glitters in fall colors. The base is so dark it almost looks black. In the sun/bright light, you can see the teal peeking out on the edges. But inside and in the shade it will look black. I dig it! Jellies with glitter are so fun and it looks awesome mattified. I used two coats with both glossy and matte top coats. This polish will only be available through the end of November. So get it while you can!
The Fury Road Collection is available now from the Lucky 13 Lacquer site in both full sized bottles (15mls) and in shorties (10mls). Be sure to follow them on social media to get up to date info on new collections and sales.
