A England - Tennyson's Romance Collection

Hey there!

Today, I am sharing with you a collection from a brand that I don't show enough on this blog.  I buy every single collection but never get around to doing a complete collection review for you all.  one of things I wanted to try and do with the blog this year was to blog about the things I actually buy and not just press samples.  That way you guys know what I truly love since I bought it with my own money.  A England is a favorite brand of mine.  Their polishes are consistently perfect, have amazing formulas and are always beautiful.  I don't even look at reviews or swatches of the collections when they come out.  I just buy them sight on seen and am never disappointed with the products.  I am pretty sure I have purchased all of my A England polishes through Color4Nails since they are a UK brand.  The newest collection available on the site is the Tennyson's Romance collection.  There are 5 beautiful holographic polishes to show you.  Each one is a stunner!

Angel Grace - A soft but bright iris purple linear holographic with a pink flash.  So pretty, wow!  The holographic shimmer in this polish is very prominent and the color is a different than the pruple holso I typically seen.  Lovely formula.  I am showing you two coats with a glossy top coat here.  (Spoiler alert...this was the only two coater in the collection!)

The Beggar Maid - A pewter grey metallic base with blue and gold shimmer.  This polish is very interesting. The golden shimmer give this a little bit of a brown lean but the blue shimmer keeps on the cooler side.  I dig it!  I am showing you one coat with glossy top coat here.  One Coat!  A England formulas are notorious for being super opaque and great in one coat.

King Cophetua - A black creme base with subtle soft holographic silver shimmer.  The holo in this is very subtle and scattered.  On the website, this color is described as a blackened green but all I could see was black.  Maybe the green tint would show up better in the direct sunlight?  Either way, it is a nice black polish with a little something extra.  I am showing you just one coat with a glossy top coat here.

Shall Be My Queen - A bright raspberry red scattered holo with a slight metallic effect.  A England does red polish very well.  They have a few other similar shades but this red leans more pink than the others.  Fantastic formula!  I am showing you just one coat here with a glossy top coat.

In Robe and Crown - A deep and vampy burgundy wine with scattered holographic effect and a slight red flash.  Talk about a gorgeous polish!  I am so glad a nubbed up before swatching this.  Dark polishes always look great on short nails.  The formula was perfection.  I am showing you one coat with a glossy top coat here.

This is a very nice collection from A England.  I do feel that some of the colors are very reminiscent of other shades in their line but no exact dupes.  I think putting together a comparison post for you guys is in order.  You can purchase these polishes directly from the A England site or get them from Color4Nails like I did.  They have international shipping where A England does not.  My favorite is In Robe and Crown.  It is just so vampy and delicious.  Which is your fave?

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. I need these! :) I love all my A- England polishes - colors, finishes and quality. They're also so great for stamping, I usually look into my stash of A- Englands when I need something for stamping. But I missed some of the last collections so my wishlist is pretty long... :D
