Pretty Serious Seasonal Sunset

Have you ever gotten it into your head that you need a polish of a certain finish or color only to realize it doesn't seem to exist? I searched everywhere for Pretty Serious Seasonal Sunset before it was released as part of their holiday collection. I wanted a red-orange-brown loaded with shimmer, and Pretty Serious delivered.

Seasonal Sunset is a deep russet red loaded with gold shimmer. The base is sort of the color of rust, orange-red, and a jelly base, but there's so much sparkly gold and copper flecks that it's hard to care about the base. The overall finish is almost a glass fleck, but the particles are larger.

The texture of this polish was a bit odd. Not outright bad, but different. I guess it was a bit goopier than the other Pretty Serious polishes I've tried. It was still easy to apply and nice and dense, this is two coats and top coat.

Isn't this one of the prettiest polishes you've ever seen? I'm seriously in love with it. I've already ordered a second bottle. <3!

Happy United States Thanksgiving everyone! I'm planning on stuffing my face with turkey and potatoes while missing my family. I'm having Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of my colleagues, but it's never quite the same as family for the holidays.

I wish I had a fun Thanksgiving-themed manicure to share with you today, but I just couldn't find the inspiration, instead I have a gorgeous fall red, OPI Charge it in Milan.

Charge it in Milan is a red-orange shimmer with heavy brown undertones. It looks a bit more brown in photographs than it did in person. I just love brown toned reds this fall, I've been collecting all of them I can find.

My bottle is a black label, and I'm not sure if they are still making this polish, but it's still fairly easy to obtain. The formula was a bit slow drying, but opaque in two coats (although a third is necessary to reach bottle color).

Pomegranate Lacquers Autumnesque

Today I have the gorgeous Pomegranate Lacquer Autunmesque to show you!

Autunmesque was my first Pomegranate Lacquer, and it's such an amazing fall color. It's a redish-pink with strong gold shimmer. It sounds so simple in words but it's so pretty in person. Fall in a bottle.

The formula was pretty easy to work with, I used two smooth coats for this manicure. I didn't wrap my tips (oops!) so I experienced a bit of shrinkage with my Seche Vite.

The day I wore Autumnesque I spent the entire day wondering what the color reminded me of. I finally figured it out while making dinner, I was peeling little red potatoes when it hit me, Autumnesque is that exact redish color with gold undertones of a little red potato. I would have posed with a potato for you, but they all went into the mashed potato pot!
