Best of 2013:Teal, Blue, and Purple

Happy New Year's everyone!

Time for the last of my favorites list, today I'm focusing on teal/turquoise (I'm always horrible at telling the difference), blue, and purple. Purple is one of my favorites so there's a bunch in that category. Don't forget, the link for individual blog posts on these colors is under the image if available!

Teal:

1. A-England Saint George:dark teal with a subtle holo and fantastic formula.

2. Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream: a to die for mix of light blue, green, and teal glitter.

3. Cult Nails Let Me Fly (left two nails): perfect turquoise shimmer.

Blue

1. Girly Bits Roger That: dark sky blue with gorgeous holo. This is probably in my overall top three this year, it is so gorgeous!

2. China Glaze Manhunt: perfect dark blue creme.

3. Zoya Tallulah: bright blue shimmer with a wonderful shimmer.

4. Butter London Victoriana: grey- blue loaded with so much silver shimmer.

5. Whimsical Ideas By Pam Saturday Morning Cartoons: blue red and green glitter in a blue jelly base.
I seriously wore this one like 20 times this fall, seriously in love.

Purple

1. Cult Nails Flushed: blurple base with the most incredible pink multichrome.
Flushed became an instant favorite for me, it is just so gorgeous.

2. Jade Holographic Fascino Violeta: bright purple base with strong holo.

3. Soulstice Cassis: dark red-toned purple with gorgeous subtle shimmer.

4. Cult Nails Charming: a surprise favorite - light delicate sheer lilac purple shimmer.

5. OPI Suzi and the 7 Dusseldorfs: this color is just too pretty, metallic red toned purple that just glows.

6. OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest: dark vampy purple with glowy red shimmer.

7. A-England Avalon: so hard to capture in photographs, but a bright, vivid purple shimmer.

So many fantastic colors came out in 2012! I can't believe how many new and unique polishes I added to my collection. I can't wait to see what next year has in store! What are you looking forward to in 2013?

  1. You have not only great swatch photos of these - but super picks. I loved China Glaze Man Hunt - almost a 1 coater! And darn...I just put in a Cult Nails order yesterday to get in on her sale - and I did not find good swatches for Charming - thought it was a cream only so I did not get it - boohoo! I love that you got Suzi and the 7 D's in there - most seemed to ignore that one and I thought it was really pretty. Heard so much about Pam's Dr. S...and I never ordered it - I am waaaay to slow to get the news on a lot of the indie polishes.

  2. Well thank you so much! I try hard to get good pictures of my polishes, but it always feels like a constant battle with my thin fragile nails, I really appreciate your comment! I'm not the one with good picks, you have fabulous taste if I do say so myself!
Charming is a gorgeous color, although it's a bit sheer which sometimes annoys me with polishes. I'm quite obsessed with Cult Nails. I bought more on the sale and realized I own all but 10 of their colors including the discontinued ones. Whimsical polishes are definitely a good indie polish in my opinion. The polishes have the look and variety of most indies and Pam has the most consistent formulas. She produces fewer colors but maintains the highest quality.
