This is an exciting Takko Tuesday because I get to talk about my trip to Polish Con! This was the second Polish Con event and it was held in New York City. I love NYC but had only spent time in Manhattan on my previous trips. This time, I got to hang out in Brooklyn which was a nice treat. Not only did I get to see many of my favorite indie polish makers again, but I got to meet our illustrious Takko Lacquer creator, Sheryl! Yay! I have been talking to Sheryl for years now with Takko Lacquer releases and reviews. But over that time we have become good friends and it was a treat to be able to meet her in person. We had the best time looking at polishes and meeting other makers. Plus, we got to check out some swanky bars and delicious eats in Manhattan together afterwards. Best day ever! For the occasion, I wore a new Takko Lacquer creme.

Double Side Dots with Born Pretty Store Studs
Monday, September 5, 2016
Hello!
I have a quick little manicure to share with you today! It is Labor Day here in the states which basically means the summer is over. Even though it will be hotter than heck here in Florida for another few months, we are still going to be calling it fall shortly. It's already Pumpkin Everything out there! But we don't have to let summer be gone so quickly. Keep summer alive with neon nails!
When I saw these black and white studs arrive from Born Pretty Store, I knew that I wanted to use them with some neon colors. The contrast of the stark black and white against a neon background is quite appealing. I started off with a coat of white topped with two coats with China Glaze "Flip Flop Fantasy. This neon peachy pink is the most difficult thing to photograph. It is so bright and never shows up the correct color on camera. But since is it is such a quintessential summer shade, I know most of you have seen it in person before. I stuck the round black metal studs with white polka dots to the side of my nail in #doublesidedots style when I added a glossy top coat. It is such a simple design but looks so cool. Have you double side dotted yet?

Barielle's New ProSina Signature Line
Wednesday, April 20, 2016
Hi folks!
I have a few shades from new line of polishes from Barielle to share with you today. Barielle has created a new line of polishes by taking some of the shades from their original collection and infused them with ProSina. ProSina is a hydrolyzed keratin that helps improve durability and overall health of the nail. So you not only get great color but nail polish that actually treats the nail. The Barielle ProSina Signature Collection promises to be pregnancy safe and 5-free, so no icky chemicals to worry about. I have just two colors from the collection of 100+ colors to try out but I am excited to try more. They applied beautifully and had the added benefit of a treatment. Make sure to check out the individual swatches after this cute little double side dot mani. :)
Thanks!

"In Good Taste" is a cool toned chocolate creme polish infused with ProSina. It is rich and creamy and applied like a dream. I did two coats for this swatch with a glossy top coat. It dried pretty glossy on it's own without a top coat but I am too impatient to not use one.
"Blackened Bleu" is a blackened jelly base with an intense bright blue shimmer throughout. This also is infused with the ProSina keratin. With the more jelly like base, this color was more sheer and required three coats to make it completely opaque. This, too, is topped with a glossy top coat. Dat Shimma is gorgeous!
This new ProSina Collection is available now from the Barielle website. You can usually find this brand at local beauty supply stores as well. There are other nail treatments along with this collection for different ailments of you nails, so be sure to check those out while you are on the site.

Cirque Colors Icon Duos from Pop-In@Nordstrom
Monday, December 21, 2015
Hey babes!
I have some gorgeous little Cirque Colors duos to share with you tonight! Cirque Colors has teamed up with Nordstrom's Pop-In Shops again this month. These are small little "shops" curated by Olivia Kim that pop up in select stores and online. The items sold in the shops are all themed and for a limited time only. Currently, the Pop-In Shop is in collaboration with NYC fashion brand Opening Ceremony. Inspired by the colors of these fashions, Annie has created three gift sets, each including one creme and on holographic polish that is exclusive to this event. I was able to snag all three sets to share with you all. I thought it would be fun to do some double side dots which each of the duos to show off the different shades. These Cirque Colors Icon Duos will only be available to purchase through Nordstrom until Jan 3rd. So if you like them...grab them quick!

Cirque Colors Metropolis Collection June - Golightly and Nolita Lolita
Wednesday, June 24, 2015
Howdy!
What is this craziness? Posts up every day this week! I am on a roll and I am going to try and keep up a regular posting schedule for you all. Wish me luck!
Tonight, I have the two new creme polishes from Cirque Color's Metropolis Collection. For the month of June, we are introduced to "Nolita Lolita" and "Golightly". Both of these have the perfectly creamy formula that we have grown to expect from Cirque. I used two coats with a glossy top coat for each of the swatches. I also did a little nail art with these two polishes. The double side dot is my new favorite quick and easy nail art to do. I just put two little dots of polish (or studs or rhinestones) on the sides of each nail. I really like to use contrasting colors for the most dramatic effect. If you want to see a bunch of recreations of this mani, browse the #doublesidedots tag on Instagram. Let's look at the pretties!
Here is "Golightly" which is a blue leaning teal creme polish. With a name like Golightly, I was expecting this to be more of a Tiffany blue but it was much more teal in person. Excellent formula as per usual.
"Nolita Lolita" is the other polish released this month. It is a bright raspberry pink creme with an excellent formula. Nice and easy application and a great summer color.
These two polishes for June are going to be the last ones in the Metropolis Collection for a few months. The monthly release of signature creme polishes will start up again in September. You can purchase these polishes directly from the Cirque Colors site or from their many stockists.
