Sometimes painting your nails is just too hard.  Or you just don't have the skills to make awesome nail art happen on your own nails and want to wear something cool.  Well, nail wraps are what you are looking for.  I have not tried a ton of nail wraps in the past but of the ones I have tried, ThumpsUp Nail Wraps have been my favorite.  They apply smoothly and can be used in a variety of ways to create many different nail are looks.   I got to try out their new 'Lite' line of wraps in the coolest design ever!  They needed to get on my super long nails before they got the chop.  So cool!

I have another brand new Takko Lacquer shade to share with you all today.  The Fall 2016 Collection is launching this Friday.  It includes 8 new takkitos that are all gorgeous (duh!) and there will also be 6 new polishes added to the Curiosities and Exquisites Collection of cremes and toppers.  Let's take a look at "Mariposa" which is a nice fall shade.  She is a vibrant pumpkin orange with tons of pink and gold shimmer.  The formula was slightly sheer and I needed three coats for full opacity.  The shimmer is really great in this polish and compliment the base nicely.  I got may compliments when I wore this to work.  It can dry down a little dull because of Takko Lacquer's vegan, vitamin E infused base.  I used a glossy top coat here to bring out that shimmer.  Of course...I am in love.  I am such a sucker for orange nail polish!

Takko Lacquer will be releasing the new fall shades on October 28th.  The store will be open for a 3 hour pre-order from 8:30pm EDT to 11:30pm EDT.  Hopefully, this will give everyone plenty of time to order all the takkitos they want.  After the preorder ships, there will be a traditional launch/restock announced.  Are you excited?!?  I am excited to share more with you.  Be sure to keep an eye out for more swatches of this collection on my Instagram page.

Powder Perfect - Egyptology Series III

I have a very cool collection of shimmering holographic wonders to share with you.  Powder Perfect has come out with another great collection in their Egyptology Series.  Each of these polishes is inspired by ancient Egypt, as are the previous collections in this series.  These 10 polishes have a very similar formula with rich colors and subtle holographic effect.  They call it "Holo-twist" which has the sparkle of holographic microglitter but a smooth application.   I really enjoyed them and I hope you do, too.  The collection is available right now, so let's get into the colors so you know which ones you want to pick up!

Takko Tuesday! - Winter Succulent

I have a brand new takkito to share with you all!  Takko Lacquer will be releasing their fall collection later this month and "Winter Succulent" is one of the new babies.  It is so freshy fresh!  She is a minty blue creme with tiny gold flakies and even tinier silver specks.  This polish is exactly like Rose Quartz but with a different colored base.  This was opaque for me in just two coats.  The first coat was a bit streaky but it all evened out with the second coat.  A glossy top coat brings out the shine here as Takko Lacquer's vegan, vitamin E infused base can dry a little dull.  My photos are showing this a little cooler than it is in real life.  I would say it leans more mint than blue.

Lavish Polish - Fall 2016 Collection

I have some pretty amazing polishes to share with you today.  I have raved before about my love for Lavish Polish formulas.  Their crelly and jelly polish formula is one of my absolute favorite in the business.  Well, this collection of holos are just perfect, too!  The Fall 2016 Collection consists of 5 linear holographic in deep, saturated colors and impeccable crelly formula.  The colors are so vivid and perfect for any time of the year.  And the formulas are amazing.  Not only do they watermarble like a dream but they were all one coaters for me.  Yep...in every one of these photos, I am showing you one generous coat with a glossy top coat.  No lie!  This collection just launched today, so lets take a look at these amazing shades.

Takko Tuesday! - Kaleidoscope Eyes

I have another original Takko Lacquer shade to share with you all today.  Also!  My polish sister from Germany, Lotte, is going to be joining in on the Takko Tuesday fun with us again.  She is a Takko Lacquer addict just like me and I love being able to share these special Tuesday posts with her.  Be sure to check out her blog today for her swatches.  "Kaleidoscope Eyes" is a lovely little shifter from Takko Lacquer.  The base is a blue to green to purple multichrome with a little of a metallic finish.  The base color overall gives off a teal vibe with a little hint of a slate blue at times.  At an angle, you can see it shift through a variety of pretty mermaid shades.  Then, there is also a substantial linear holographic shimmer running through it.  So, not only do you get the shifting multichrome effect but you also get rainbows!  Yas!  The formula was quite nice and completely opaque in two coats.  It can show off brush strokes if you are not careful but they dry down mush less noticeable.  A glossy top coat really brings out the holo effect.  I really like this shade.  I find it muted but bright and a very nice color for fall and winter.  It's a keeper!

These next photos were taken with two different light sources at opposing angles to really show off that shift.   This polish is such a chameleon.  So cool!

Pahlish - Holo-ween III

I survived the hurricane!  I lost my fence but no other major damage.  Phew!  There was a ton of damage done by the hurricane in my area but luckily there were not lives lost.  Watching all the damage on the news is sad but it looks like everyone is working quickly to get things back in order.  And what comes after the rain?  Rainbow!  As in holographic rainbows :)  So, how about some beautiful holos from Pahlish to brighten the day?  Every Halloween, Pahlish releases a collection of delicious holographic polishes.  This year we have six of them.  Two are more traditional linear holos, two are scattered holos and two are jellies with scatter holo flecks.  They are releasing tomorrow, so let's take a look at them and see which ones you want to snag for yourself.

I have another fun Awesome Sauce Indie Box to share with you today!  This new box is inspired by Lisa Frank.  Lisa Frank brings me back to grade school.  Her neon bright designs were the highlight of school supplies for me.  Unicorns and puppies and dolphins and fairies...so many fun things for young girls.  There are four indie polish makers contributing to this box as well as one indie nail decal maker.  Different Dimension is the guest maker for this box!  These polishes are bright and girly and sure to be a huge hit.  Let's take a look at the limited edition polishes offered in the Lisa Frank Box!

Takko Tuesday! - Surrealistic

Today, I have an older but oh so beautiful Takkito to share with you.  A few summers ago, Takko Lacquer came out with some fantastic shifty flakie polishes.  "Surrealistic" was one of them.  This is a clear based polish that is jam packed full of color shifting ultrachrome metallic flakies.  They are fairly small in size and lay smooth on the nail.  You can wear it as a topper but I prefer it full coverage to get the most flakitastic effect.  I am showing you three coats on its own in these swatches.  Both with a glossy top coat and a matte top coat.  Gotta matte all the flakies, yo!

Using two light sources at different angles, I am able to show off the shift of this polish better for you.  These metallic flakies shift from gold to green to pink to purple.  I would say the overall color effect is a golden green but the pink and purple peak through at an angle.  So pretty!

I do not know when this polish will be restocked but Takko Lacquer does bring back older shades from time to time.  Be sure to follow Takko Lacquer on their social media outlets for all of the most up to date information on restocks and new releases.

Pun with Pokemon - Exclusive Color4Nails Collection

I have a fun little collection to share with you all today.  My favorite indie stockist, Color4Nails, has teamed up with six different indie polish makers to create a collection of polishes inspired but the resent Pokemon Go craze.  I will admit...I am one of the people that fell hard for this game.  I had never played Pokemon once in my life before but got hooked on this game as soon as it came out.  Hunting Pokemon in the real world?!?  Yes, please!  If you are a Pokemon fan as well, you will love the inspiration for these shades.  Each of the polishes in this collection are inspired by a favorite Pokemon.  They will only be available from the Color4Nails online store.  And the names are super punny which is a bonus.  You are going to want to catch them all!

It's the most fun month of the year...October.  Why?  Because it's time for Halloween which is the most fun holiday of the year.  At least in my opinion it is.  What is more fun than dressing up in costumes and scaring people.  And you can wear orange the entire month which is a bonus for me.  I love orange :)  Every year, Pam puts out a super fun Halloween collection and this year is no different.  There are 7 Halloween and fall theme polishes in the Hallowhimsy collection that are sure to be crowd pleasers.  Let's take a look at them all!

Honor Nails You Love for the #31DC2016Weekly

It has finally come to an end.  Today, is the last day of not only the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge but also the weekly version that I have been doing.  The 31st challenge is to honor nails that you love.  This can be a nail art look, a favorite nail artist or a specific manicure that you love.  I always chose a manicure by a favorite artist of mine to recreate.  There are so many talented nail artists out there that it can be difficult to choose.  I went through my inspiration folder and kept coming back to this gorgeous firefly manicure done by Sarah from Chalkboard Nails a few years ago for the #31DC2014.  She is the champion of this challenge, so I thought honoring one of her creations was fitting.  You can see her original manicure here.  I hope my version does it justice!

Native War Paints - The Next World Collection

It's officially fall!  Time for some delicious, warm autumn nail polish shades and a new season of The Walking Dead to start.  I love the TV show The Walking Dead as I am sure many of you do.  It's great!  Native War Paints are fans as well and have done a few TWD themed collections.  For fall this year, they are coming out with a set of six gorgeous holos that are perfect for fall.  The holographic effect is strong with all of these as well as that classic Native War Paints shimmer.  Man...I love their shimmers!  Let's take a look at these new babies :)
